Obama Promises Radical Transformation of Jobs Picture in America

Obama Promises Radical Transformation of Jobs Picture in America, by doing the same thing over and over and over and....

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Rancho  Santa Margarita, CA - President Obama promises a radical transformation of the job picture in America with his new plan to be unveiled next week, but amazingly doing the same thing over and over and over again…..For starters, Mr. Obama  has nominated Alan Krueger, a Princeton University expert on unemployment, as his top economic adviser as he plots an 'urgent' new offensive on the jobs crisis.

In other words, Mr. Obama’s plan is no significantly different from Jerry Brown’s Jobs Plan for California:  Do the same thing over and over again, expecting significantly different results

Mr Obama described Mr Krueger as one of America's top economists who understood the challenges that the country faces, although Mr. Krueger has yet to manage a lemonade stand.
Mr Krueger, if confirmed by the Senate, will serve as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers and succeed long-time Obama confidante Austan Goolsbee who left the administration to return to academia in Chicago.

Jobs go where needed and stay where well treated.

California, aided and abetted by the symbiotic relationship between unions (CTA and SEIU spent over $500 million in ten years to buy favors from Sacramento lawmakers),  lobbyists (lobbyists outnumber  lawmakers by 10 –1) and parasitic bureaucracies (such as CLRC, LAFCO, AQB) and lawmakers have created the “Jobs not wanted in California” sign.   What Jerry wants to do with the tax code is add salt to the wound:  The companies affected by the “No Jobs in California” sign that established operations elsewhere, will now be taxed even more.  Guess how long it is going to be before they move all their operations out of the state?

Now consider the US Economic Freedom's Triple Constraint:  1) ObamaCare, 2)  Cap & Trade and 3) Card Check
What is required is for Jerry, for Mr. Obama and the rest of the spineless politicians  to simply get out of the way of the private sector by merging  and or close some 80% of more of the parasitic bureaucracies such as the EPA, DOE, and even the DOJ.

For example:  what is the common denominator between fiber optics, MRIs, Lasik, Google, liquid crystal displays (LCDs, holograms, Gatorade and a myriad innovations more? These all sprang from the discoveries of university researchers. To date, Stanford University gets a whooping $1 billion/year from Google alone! However, before passage of the Bayh-Dole act of 1980, all rights and proceeds from federally funded research remained the property of the federal government. Commercialization rates of university research discoveries have since multiplied - just another vivid example that government is best, when it leaves market forces alone, particularly in the job creation market whether it is Washington DC or Sacramento California.

Moronically, as the jobs pie keeps shrinking, union bosses and parasites demand a bigger slice of the pie.

From day one of his administration, Mr. Obama promised that he would focus on jobs like a laser beam.  Then unveiled a shoveled-ready porkulus that was not shovel-worth.  Next week, the president will lay out a new plan to create jobs and slice into the deficit by proposing, the Return of  Porkulus and A new shovel.
Guess what Joe the Taxpayer is going to get?

Jerry's Job’s Jest…err plan

 Posted by CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – Governor Brown’s announced yesterday his plan to radically change the unemployment picture in California by  changing the tax code in order to bring in more revenue from firms that employ the bulk of workers outside of the state and giving new breaks to firms that hire or buy equipment in California.   Makes sense, and the Mostly Left Wing & Hyphenated Media not only loves it but is using it as parts of its WMD arsenal to manipulate the apathetic, uninformed and or otherwise cognitive-challenged audience.
Red County

The problem of course is that the devil is in the details, and Jerry wants radically different results by doing the same darn thing, over and over and over and over.....

We assert that Jobs follow Winstren’s Law:  Jobs go where needed and stay where well treated.

The key is to foster an environment where innovation thrives not to feed  Sacramento’s  parasitic bureaucracies.  Moronically, as the jobs pie keeps shrinking, union bosses and parasites demand a bigger slice of the pie.

Coto de Caza and Ladera Ranch Students Beneficiaries of OC Justice System

The  OCDA roared like a lion and went our like Mary's Little Lamb.

Coto de Caza, CA - Coto de Caza's  and former Tesoro HS student, Omar Shahid Khan pleaded guilty on March 21, 2011, to two felony counts of commercial burglary and one felony count each of altering public records, stealing or removing public records, and attempting to steal or remove public records. At the sentencing today, judge Thomas Goethals dismissed four of the felony counts and reduced the fifth, attempting to steal or remove public records, to a misdemeanor. Khan was sentenced today to 30 days in jail, three years of probation, 500 hours of community service, and was ordered to pay over $14,900 in restitution.

Khan's  co-defendant Tanvir Singh, 21, Ladera Ranch, pleaded guilty Sept. 9, 2008, to one felony count of attempting to steal or remove public records and one misdemeanor count of computer access and fraud. He was sentenced on that date to 200 hours of community service and three years of formal probation.

Now, this is where the Orange County Justice System kicks in.  On  June 17, 2008, Khan  was  charged with 34 felony counts of altering a public record, 11 felony counts of stealing and secreting a public record, seven felony counts of computer access and fraud, six felony counts of burglary, four felony counts of identity theft, three felony counts of altering a book of records, two felony counts of receiving stolen property, one felony count of conspiracy, and one felony count of attempted altering of a public record.

According to the OCDA's office, Khan faced a maximum sentence of 38 years and four months in prison if convicted. A high-powered lawyer and two years later, all the charges  get reduced to a misdemeanor and the threatened years in jail turn into a slap of the wrist.   We have asked the OCDA's office for an explanation as to what happened.  Seems like the OCDA roared like a lion and went our like Mary's Little Lamb.

We caught up with OCDA's spokesperson Farrah Emami and asked her to comment on the significant difference between the OCDA's starting point, from 34 felony counts to one misdemeanor.  Ms. Emami objected to our observation that there appears to be a significant difference in sentencing between the haves and the have nots.  Ms. Emami also noted that based on the merits of the case, the OCDA's office feels justice was served.    The key  here is that our observation about sentencing differences is not necessarily related to the quality of the prosecution and or defense, as much as what the judges decide.  In this case, judge Thomas Goethals dismissed four of the felony counts and reduced the fifth, attempting, to a misdemeanor.   Trust this is not an min-OJ in the making.

UCI's Boneheaded Approach to Safety - Redux

Posted by CotoBuzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA -  We previously asserted that the UCI office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity is making an excellent impression of the typical parasitic bureaucracies, at least when it comes to public safety.  However, we wanted to give the  organization an opportunity to identify flaws in our reasoning, so we asked Chief Risk Officer Grace Crickette to comment on our story.

For that matter we asked Ms. Grace’s boss, EVP  Chief Financial Officer Peter J. Taylor and Gecole Harley, the person submitting the request to teach Spanish to UCI supervisors, to give us their perspectives.

The deadline has passed and we have yet to hear from anyone.  Reminds us of the advice often given to diplomats.  Be careful about what you do say, speak louder than what you do say.

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA- We continue to make the argument that public sector unions are not only an anachronism but also a major contributor to the country’s malaise.  Further, we make the argument that private sector unions are not bad.  However, politicians, lobbyists and parasitic bureaucracies have  bastardized the movement so much so, that the current approach to labor is economically and politically unsustainable.

You may recall the infamous encounter between Alice and the Cat in Wonderland:
"Cheshire-Puss, would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?", asks Alice
"That depends a great deal on where you want to get to"  said the Cat
"I don't much care where -," said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.
Sounds eerily familiar to what is going on in ObamaLand.

Will the RRR please stand up?

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - Next time you attend a local, regional and or national Republican gathering ask the following question:  How many of you are Real Reagan Republicans (RRR)?

Not doubt most of the attendance, whether candidates, surrogates or activists will try to outdo each other using terms like “I was a Reagan foot soldiers,” I am a fiscal conservative, or even “I am a Reagan Democrat.”  - in other words, the behavior is predictable.

It  happened during  2010 and it is already happening in the 2012 elections – When the message does not resonate with the media, voters or activists, use personal attacks and  innuendos to leapfrog your opponent and or get your candidate to the front of the line – the same people who previously wanted to outdo each other as to who best personified President Reagan are the first to violate the President’s 11th Commandment.

Predictably, the Mostly Left Wing and Hyphenated (MLWH)   Media loves not only the hypocritical message, but it amplifies it and uses is as WMD to manipulate the apathetic, uninformed and or otherwise, cognitive-challenged electorate.  Sadly, the MLWH  does not have a corner on the market.

Coto’s Property Values Go Up Because I Say So Fallacy

Taking a page from the Obama Administration's Playbook, the CZ Master Association is creating jobs, with your money

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Coto de Caza, CA – the CZ Master Association is lobbying the county of Orange to re-zone the Hunt Club property, otherwise known as the Khlada development, using flawed reasoning:   It argues that rezoning increases property values, creates jobs and promote the Coto LifeStyle™

The association used a similar argument to spend frivolously in the Dog Park and to support the construction of the Polo Arena.  Here are the facts:  The association continues to subsidize non-dues paying residents and or service providers at the tune of over $3 million per year, continues to promote increased traffic and consequently increase liability and the potential for traffic accidents, not to mention that the Coto LifeStyle™ originally described as rural and bucolic is now suburban Arizona Look.

A board in a common interest development (CID) by law is NOT in the business of creating jobs with other people’s money.  Further, a notion of the Wealth of Homeowners Associations is analogous to the World’s Bank the Wealth of Nations In its study Where is the Wealth of Nations? researchers added current values of natural resources and produced capital totaling only 20% for rich countries.  A whopping 80% of the wealth of nations was “intangible” – we refer to this intangible as social capital.  The social capital encompasses trust among people in a society, efficient judicial system, clear property rights and effective government In fact, the World Bank finds “Human capital and the value of institutions (as measured by rule of law), constitute the largest share of wealth in virtually all countries”.

In this case, if anything, the board continues to decrease the value of the association by failing to promote public safety, increasing subsidies and otherwise destroying the community’s bucolic lifestyle.  Do you know what Coto de Caza Means?  Do you know what getting rid of the Hunt Club implies? – the end of an era.  An otherwise golden era for the community.

Coto de Caza, CA - The quarter to quarter crime and vandalism report for ending June 30, 2011 for Coto de Caza and Ladera ranch are not to surprising. While the larceny/theft category increased 300%  and disorderly conduct 200% in Coto de Caza,  since new OCSD management was installed, the swings from quarter to quarter are overly wild without a plausible explanation.  However, if the data is averaged from 3Q2009 to date, the trending clearly shows the crime and vandalism rate at close to an all time high.

Coto de Caza, CA - While the number of traffic accidents for the second quarter of 2011 in Ladera Ranch more than doubled, resulting in nine injuries and three driving under the influence, according to the figures supplied by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) San Juan Capistrano (SJC,) it appears that the traffic accidents in Coto de Caza are trending down.

Coto de Caza, CA - The good news for Coto de Caza residents is that the quarter-to-quarter accident rate for the quarter ending March 31, 2011 is significantly down from the previous quarter. The bad news is that it is still at the same levels as when the community experienced its two traffic fatalities within a three month period between December 2005 and March 2006

Coto de Caza and Ladera Ranch 1Q2011 Public Safety Review
Coto de Caza, CA –By its own words and actions, it is fair to argue that Coto de Caza’s local governance is not only apathetic when it comes to public safety, but its own actions actually result increase the risk to residents. Worse, seems like adults in Coto de Caza have similar views as the local governance.

Our research over close to ten years indicate that whether a community is safe or not, is primarily a function of residents and local governance, not law enforcement. Consider that when a city in Orange County is deemed the safest city, what about the other 11 cities or the unincorporated areas? What about Coto de Caza with the highest crime rate in history in early 2010. After all, only common denominator is that the OCSD is the law enforcement agency. What does the OCSD do differently in the safest city, as opposed to the least safe city under its watch?

Coto de Caza's Traffic Incident Rate at Critical Danger Levels
Coto de Caza, CA - While the Coto de Caza's total population has been shrinking for the last ten years, including placement of 17 property liens for the month of January 2011 out of roughly 3500 homes, the policies pursued by the CZ Master association board of directors, the local governance, have consistently increased traffic with a reduction in CHP patrol hours, with predictable results. Consider that for close to a decade, we have consistently shown conclusive evidence that there is a direct correlation between the extent of the CHP traffic enforcement efforts and the number of traffic accidents in the community.

In an open board meeting for example, a board member called the Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) extortionists! Despite the public abuse the CHP has received from the Coto de Caza board of directors ever since the board was coerced into bringing the CHP back for pro-active traffic patrol, figures indicate that the CHP has been doing its job: - The Chart below was published Sept. 30, 2006.

Israel Under Siege and Governor Perry

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - According to the Consulate General  of Israel in New York City, the Minister of Defense, Ehud Barak, conducted a special situation analysis with the IDF Chief of Staff, Lt.-General Benny Ganz, August 2011, concluding that  the horrific attack on Thursday that targeted Israeli civilians on Israeli territory are very serious.

According to Defense Minister Barak:
during" ....the terrorist attack which  originated in Gaza, most of the perpetrators were killed and the senior terrorists responsible for the attack were killed shortly after it. Over the last two days, Israel has been hitting back hard at those responsible for the attack in the south, and is acting with efficiency against the launching of Grad missiles and rockets from Gaza in order to protect the citizens of Israel.”

While today, the  Middle East Quartet composed of representatives from the United Nations, Russian Federation, United States, and European Union released the following statement:

“The Quartet condemns the attacks in southern Israel on 18 August, 2011 and all acts of terrorism in the strongest terms. These are cowardly acts of premeditated terrorism. The Quartet hopes those involved in the planning and conduct of these gruesome attacks will quickly be brought to justice.

“The Quartet remains concerned about the unsustainable situation in Gaza as well as the risk of escalation, and calls for restraint from all sides. The Quartet also expresses its concern about the security situation in the Sinai Peninsula. Recent commitments by the Egyptian Government to address the security situation in the Sinai are important, and the Quartet encourages the Egyptian Government to find a lasting resolution to the issue of Sinai security.

“The Quartet extends its deepest condolences to the victims, their families and loved ones.”

With these serious events as a backdrop, on a related story,  Gov. Rick Perry was awarded the Defender of Jerusalem Award.  The governor accepted the award while on his trip to Israel, early this month, where he also met with Israeli President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and business and academic leaders.

“I have long supported the right of a Jewish state to exist in the Middle East and firmly believe in the protection and preservation of democratic states in that part of the world,” Gov. Perry said. “After visiting several sacred and historic sites, meeting with business, civic and government leaders and seeing the day-to-day lives of the people on my trips to Israel, I am even more convinced that a safe, secure Israel is an essential part of stability in this part of the world.”

The Defender of Jerusalem Award was created in 2008 by Guma Aguiar, head of the Lillian Jean Kaplan Foundation, as a tribute to dignitaries within Israel and around the world who have demonstrated strong support for the people of Jerusalem and Israel. The first award was presented to Israeli President Shimon Peres.

According to a press release issued by the Governor offices,

"Gov. Perry continues to be a staunch supporter of Israel. After a trip to the area in 2007, the governor supported Texas’ divestment from companies that do business with Iran, a main opponent of Israeli freedom. Additionally, as a result of meetings with Israeli leadership during the governor and first lady’s visit to Israel in 2007, the Texas-Israel Chamber of Commerce was created to help launch future commercial interests and solidify the strong business and cultural connections between the two states.

Texas is Israel’s fourth largest American trading partner. Texas and Israel’s commercial relationship began with agriculture and natural resources, and has grown in recent years to include a variety of major business sectors, including information and communication technologies, aerospace and defense, medical technologies, homeland security initiatives and renewable energies."

The UCI's Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity Boneheaded Approach to Safety

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA- We continue to make the argument that public sector unions are not only an anachronism but also a major contributor to the country’s malaise.  Further, we make the argument that private sector unions are not bad.  However, politicians, lobbyists and parasitic bureaucracies have  bastardized the movement so much so, that the current approach to labor is economically and politically unsustainable.

While there is no known antibiotic to treat the CP-Virus, a symbiotic relationship between unions, lobbyists, parasitic bureaucracies and politicians, we continue to suggest that a way forward is to eliminate 80% of the mostly parasitic state and national  bureaucracies, such as OCTA, LAFCO, CLRC, DOE, EEOC, EPA and so on.  The notion is not getting traction in certain Tea Party circles.

The  UCI's  Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity Boneheaded Approach to Safety is a perfect illustration of what parasitic bureaucracies tend to do:  Instead of looking at the cause of the problem, it focuses on the effect – as the latter is more consistent with the self-preservation instinct.  The UC Irvine Risk Management, in its own words, “ is committed to reducing “the Cost of Risk” through a variety of training and loss prevention programs…,”  targeting
  • Auto Liability/Physical Damage
  • General Liability
  • Property Damage
  • Employment Practices

The  UCI's  Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity (OEOD) argues that “..at UCI Spanish speaking employees represent a significant portion of the custodial and dining services staff: however, many of the supervisors of those employees do not speak Spanish.  The linguistic and cultural disconnect can lead to misunderstandings that results in grievances including allegations of discrimination and sexual harassment.”   Its solution is to spend taxpayers' money teaching supervisors Spanish and Latino culture.

This approach is boneheaded for many reasons: a)   Instead of looking at the root cause, the OEOD proposes to tackle the effect, at taxpayers’ expense.   Why not require that any and all UCI employees speak English? If for whatever reason this is not possible, why not put the onus on the employee to learn the language?

 b)  Apparently the OEOD is not aware of the old adage:  “give a man a fish versus teaching a man to fish”  What the OEOD is doing in this case is analogous to treating a drug addict, by simply giving him more drugs.  Makes him that much more dependent on the system.  Why not instead, make it a requirement for employment to have all non-English speakers assimilate not only the culture, but the language as well, for instance.

c)  Has anyone at the OEOD  noticed the nation is on the border of a double-dip recession?

We are asking Gecole Harley, the person submitting the funding request on behalf of the OEOD to let us know the error of our ways,

Who is afraid of Lee Anne Miller?

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Coto de Caza, CA -  In the 1996 movie, Who is Afraid of Virginia Wolf, George and Martha are a middle aged married couple, whose charged relationship is defined by vitriolic verbal battles, which underlies what seems like an emotional dependence upon each other.. Late one Saturday evening after a mixer, Martha invites Nick and Honey, an ambitious young Biology professor and his mousy wife, over for a nightcap. As the evening progresses, Nick and Honey, plied with more alcohol, get caught up in George and Martha's games of needing to hurt each other and everyone around them. The ultimate abuse comes in the form of talk of George and Martha's unseen sixteen year old son, whose birthday is tomorrow.

In real life, North Korea, Iran, Libya, Syria and now even Standard & Poors are also involved in a vitriolic verbal battle with the White House.  In this case, apparently North Korea, Iran, Libya, Syria and Standard & Poors do  not seem to be afraid of the White House.

Zooming in even further to what has been going on in Coto de Caza for close to one year,  the CZ Master Association seems to be afraid of Leen Ann Miller.  Very afraid.   The board has endorsed  re-zoning of the Khalda property, from a gun ownership zoning to a strictly residential zoning, but has been afraid to discuss this endorsement in public.  It has even been more afraid of Lee Ann Miller to the point that ir decided to bastardize the use of executive sessions in order to preempt a face-off with Ms. Miller during a general session meeting, or in Xochitl’s words, Ms. Miller may decline to attend an executive session but “….as we are all aware of Ms. Millers reputation of being extremely difficult, by extending this invitation to Ms. Miller it will show that we(BOD) are willing to listen to her concerns and we can/may diffuse any animosity towards the BOD that may happen at our next General Session.”

Now consider that according to Civil Code §1363.05(b) executive sessions are provided for by statute so that boards can address issues which involve privileged information or matters of a private nature. The recent CZ board's invitation to Lee Ann Miller to preempt her from discussion the Khalda Development does not fall in that category, and is more like either a discriminatory practice and or a backroom deal.  We asked the CZ board for an explanation, but have not heard back.  Likewise, we have asked Mr. Miller to comment, but we have not heard from her either.

The question is, will we have a cat fight this Thursday August 11, 2001, during the CZ Master Association’s general session, or did the bastardized executive session accomplished its goal?

To Bavaria and Back in 100 hours

Posted by CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - Bavaria, the largest German state by area, forms almost 20% of the total land area of Germany and  is  Germany's second most populous state with Munich as its capital.  Bavarians consider themselves to be egalitarian and informal. Their sociability can be experienced at the annual Oktoberfest, the world's largest beer festival, which welcomes around six million visitors every year, or in the famous beer gardens.

Bavaria in Central Washington

In the United States, particularly among German Americans, Bavarian culture is viewed somewhat nostalgically, and many Bavarian villages, most notably Frankenmuth, Michigan and Leavenworth, Washington, have been founded. Since 1962, the latter styled with a Bavarian theme is also home to one of the world's largest collections of nutcrackers"and an Oktoberfest celebration it claims is among the most attended in the world outside of Munich.

Leavenworth, WA

Leavenworth is a city in Chelan County, Washington, United States. It is part of the Wenatchee–East Wenatchee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,074 at the 2000 census. The entire town center is modelled on a Bavarian village. In November 2007 Good Morning America went to Leavenworth for Holiday Gifts for the Globe where GMA helped light up the town for the Christmas Holiday. Leavenworth was also named the Ultimate HolidayTown USA by A&E.

While we have been to the real Bavaria and have experienced  Octoberfest at its best, we never had the inclination to visit either Frankenmuth or Leavernworth, until this past weekend when the Divide Providence interevened and we had a chance to not only visit Leavernworth, but the Icicle Creek Music Center, Lake Chelan and Wenatchee.

The reviews are in:  If you do feel nostalgic, visiting Leavenworth and the Icicle Creek Music Center may just do the job. Click here for what's on tap for the Icicle Creek Music Center

Alice and The California University at Irvine (UCI) in ObamaLand

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - You may recall the infamous encounter between Alice and the Cat in Wonderland:

"Cheshire-Puss, would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"

"That depends a great deal on where you want to get to"  said the Cat

"I don't much care where -," said Alice.

"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.

Sounds eerily familiar to what is going on in ObamaLand

Even worse, the California University System seems to be doing an excellent Alice impersonation:  With a downgraded national credit rating, joblessness rate at an all time high and prospects of a double-dip recession, the California University at Irvine (UCI), using a grant from Be Smart About Safety (BSAS) to cordially invite you to learn Spanish.   The BSAS a program is designed to increase awareness of employee safety and provide a  funding mechanism that allows the campus and medical centers to invest in loss  prevention programs and efforts in order to reduce the number of employee injuries was initiated   through the University of California Office of the President, Risk Services (OPRS) in July 1,  2006.

Apparently the UCI Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity figures that if English-Speaking employees learn to communicate in Spanish with non-English speaking employees, the work environment will be much safer.  And while learning to speak Spanish, why not make it fun?  For example, the SURVIVAL SPANISH I  is a 12-week class and in addition to sessions on language, the program will offer supplemental sessions on Latino culture.  The cultural component introduces etiquette, foods, music, and information about community  events.

Now, the SURVIVAL SPANISH II class  builds on skills acquired at  the beginning level.  This course is conducted entirely in Spanish,  and focuses upon small-group interaction and real-life scenarios. The instructor is Bill Harvey, a dynamic coach with a theater  background, who will have participants speaking Spanish within the  first three minutes of class.  His adult participants describe him as very interactive, energetic and fabulous.  Bill has  published several books and audio materials teaching Spanish to  adults.

All of this for free!

Well not really.  The cost is courtesy of  Joe the taxpayer,  does not take into account the Law of Unintended  Consequences, and does not provide any insight into the cost of the infrastructure required to support initiatives such as this.   In other words, it is government waste at its best, and why we continue to posit that Liberal Arts Education should be privatized and public universities should strictly focus on Math and Sciences research.

Having English speakers communicate with non-English speakers in Spanish provides a disincentive to assimilate.  Not unlike the extension of unemployment insurance that can act as a disincentive to find a job, for instance.  Then there is the cost develop the trainers – an entry level translator’s salary is around $75.000 – do the math.

So, how about increasing the national debt limit again, so that Congress can pass yet another useless stimulus package and have the national credit rating be classified as junk?

Pelosi Stars in Saving the Planet for the Apes

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – On a vote on the  US National Debt Ceiling showdown, July  28. 2011, Nancy Pelosi’s hyperbole reached a new low arguing that she was trying to save the planet for the apes: "What we're trying to do is save the world from the Republican budget. We're trying to save life on this planet as we know it today."

Eventually she not only voted for a compromise bill but also, in a less than convincing voice ask her Left Wing comrades to vote their conscience.  Does this mean that not even Pelosi believed her own hyperbole, or is this simply senility?
