Improving HOA Governance through Legislative Reform

HOA Public Meeting, Hosted by City of Aurora (short notice)

Tonight , May 11, there is an HOA meeting/round table in Aurora hosted by the city of Aurora with members from the CAI.  The CAI is involved and if you can attend please do so to express your concerns about HOA property management and overall HOA issues.  We think members of the Aurora government will be there and I think they need to be informed about HOA issues from the home owner's perspective and not the self interests of the CAI.  The issues I will be bringing up are presented below:   EXPRESS YOUR CONCERNS TO THESE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS

Ask the HOA Experts: A Neighbor to Neighbor Roundtable
Senior Public Information Officer Michael Bryant, City of Aurora Agency

When: Wed, May 11, 5:30 PM
Where: Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Alameda Parkway, Aurora, CO 80012

Our questions to the "experts":

Does the Aurora government official know who the CAI represents?
Transfer Fees: justifying them, duplicate billing, counter to State law
Enforcement of existing HOA laws and why ineffective
CAI opposing receipts to home owners on fees
Why CAI opposes real full disclosure of all CAM fees charged to home owners
CAI objection to licensing HOAs to provide an out of court venue for dispute resolution
Opposing the right of home owners to approve law suits using HOA funds
Construction defects legislation
