The Theatre Arts Department at Saddleback College warns audiences to enter at their own risk when Little Shop of Horrors, books and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken, comes to the Studio Theatre on October 5-14.
Seymour, a down-and-out skid row floral assistant, becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for human blood. But you don’t want to miss this affectionate spoof of 1950’s sci-fi movies so be brave and come and see one of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time
Directed and choreographed by Steve Anthony, this cult musical became a household name thanks to a highly successful 1960 film version. Musical Director Carmen Dominguez brings to life the 1960’s doo-wop and early Motown score.

Tickets are $13 general admission, $12 students/seniors, and $9 Saddleback students with current ASG card. Call (949) 582-4656 for tickets. Dates: October 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 @ 8 p.m. and March 3, 4, 10, 11 @ 3 p.m.
Saddleback College is located at 28000 Marguerite Pkwy in Mission Viejo , just east of Interstate 5 at the Avery Parkway exit. Parking is available in Lot 12. Take Avery Parkway to Marguerite Parkway turn left to the third traffic light, which is Saddleback’s Marguerite entrance. Turn right into the campus and take the second left to “ Theatre Circle ,” turning right into Lot 12.

Each year the Department presents a dynamic and diverse environment of innovation which combines high artistic standards with public appeal, and which challenges and expands the talents of students both on stage and behind the scenes.
