Leavenworth, WA - The Icicle Creek Young Pianist Camp is back. In addition to teaching private lessons, conducting masterclasses and enjoying the natural beauty of Leavenworth, Piano Camp faculty and students will be busy preparing for the public concerts at Canyon Wren Recital Hall - 7409 Icicle Road, Leavenworth on Saturday, August 10, 7PM and Sunday, August 11, 1 PM
Seattle Symphony’s pianist Kim Russ and Chamber Music Festival alumna Madeline Slettedahl will join Oksana Ezhokina for an evening of exciting music for piano four-hands. What better way to spend a lovely summer night than listen and watch three pianists sharing one stage, 88 keys and three pedals
The program includes Mozart’s elegant Sonata for Piano Four-Hands in B flat Major, Kurtag’s heart-felt transcriptions of Bach’s famous chorales, Debussy’s effervescent Petite Suite, and Moszkowski’s wild and crazy Spanish Dances. For a splash of something different and breathtaking, Madeline Slettedahl will perform Sofia Gubaidulina’s stunningly virtuosic Chaconne for Piano Solo. On Sunday, the young artists of the Camp, will perform the pieces they have been working on during their stay at Icicle Creek.
Saturday, August 10, 7PM ($15, $8 Youth) - Faculty Concert
Sunday, August 11, 1 PM (Admission FREE) - Young Pianists Concert
