Michael Molle arrested following Rossmoor Shooting Incident

Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. – Michael Molle 72, was arrested following Rossmoor shorting incident.

On Thursday, July 31, 2014 at approximately 8:25 p.m., Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) deputies responded to 2842 Tucker Lane, Rossmoor, following reports of a shooting at the residence.

Deputies arrived and discovered an adult female and adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.  Both victims were transported to local hospitals where the male victim was treated and released; however, the female victim remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.  Michael Molle, 72, Rossmoor, was detained and arrested at the scene.

Based on the preliminary investigation and information learned at the scene, the OCSD has determined the victims were siblings and step-grandchildren of the suspect.  It appears the shootings stemmed from a domestic dispute but no further details are being released.  A handgun believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered at the scene.

Molle was arrested for attempted murder and booked into the Orange County Jail.  He is being held on $500K bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, August 4th, 2014.
