Posted by CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – The Department of Theatre Arts is schedule to once again bring summer of theatre to Saddleback College.

After a successful debut of Godspell’s free theatre debut last year, a fully-staged performance of Grease concludes the Summer of Theatre productions on Friday and Saturday, July 24th and 25th at 7:30 p.m.

Directed by Craig Tyrl with musical direction by Lex Leigh, the Rydell High School teenagers Sandy and Danny, the Pink Ladies and the Burger Palace Boys will rock out to such classics as Summer Nights, Greased Lightnin’, Look at Me, I’m Sandra Dee, Rock & Roll Party Queen, and We Go Together. Don’t miss a chance to hang out with the 1950s working class youth subculture known as greasers!

Admission is free, however, for those who don’t wish to bring a blanket or sit on beach chairs, limited reserved seating is available at $20 per person (presale only). For reserved seats, call the ticket office at 949-582-4656 (Tues-Fri, Noon to 4:00 p.m.)

All shows will begin festival seating at 6:00 p.m., with areas available for blankets, low-back chairs, and high back chairs. Guests are invited to bring a picnic dinner or enjoy food from several local food trucks and other vendors providing drinks and snacks. The festival grounds will also feature a small vendor’s area with fun activities for all ages, as well as information booths from Saddleback College Departments and other community groups. Vendors will change from performance to performance. Last year’s vendors included art demonstrations, magic shows, face painting, balloon animals, and dessert and coffee samples. A free drawing will also be held for some fabulous prizes for local area attractions, available to all guests.
