Justin Verducci, Capistrano Valley High School Teacher Arrested Today

Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. Today, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victim’s Unit investigators arrested Justin Verducci, 25, Irvine, on charges related to inappropriate text communication with a student.
According to the Orange County District Attorney's office, Verducci was arrested in front of his Irvine residence following investigation into allegations he was “sexting” with a 16 year-old student at Capistrano Valley High School where he is employed as a teacher.
On Friday, November 27, 2015, Sheriff’s investigators were contacted by the student’s parents who indicated they discovered several inappropriate text messages on their daughter’s phone. The text messages were sexual in nature and exchanged between their daughter and Verducci. Investigators collected evidence and obtained information over the weekend before contacting Verducci this morning.
Verducci is a math teacher at Capistrano Valley High School in the City of Mission Viejo.
Verducci was arrested for child annoyance and sexual communication with a known minor online. He was booked into Orange County Jail and is being held on $20K bail. Verducci is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, December 1, 2015.
