Saddleback College presents Museum, a play imitating theatre imitating art December 1-10, 2006A COLLAGE OF CHAOS & ODD PAINTINGS IN MUSEUMNovember 14, 2006
The Theatre Arts Department at Saddleback College presents Museum, a play imitating theatre imitating art imitating life on December 1-10 in the Studio Theatre. Directed by Mark McQuown, Museum is set in an unnamed art museum full of unbelievably odd modern paintings and constructions. Tina Howe’s witty satire takes place on the final day of a modern art exhibition ironically titled The Broken Silence where patrons, guards and artists interact and their chaotic behavior itself becomes a kind of work of art. If Mozart had been a TV producer, this is what a Candid Camera segment on art might have looked like. –The Village Voice.
