Huntington Beach's Farhad Ebadat, get 13 years for embezzlement involving high-end luxury cars at Bellagio Motors

Posted by CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA -  Farhad Ebadat was sentenced yesterday to 13 years in state prison for embezzling over $2 million from unsuspecting customers looking to buy or sell Lamborghini,Ferraris, Rolls Royces, and other high-end vehicles from the his dealership in Costa Mesa. Ebadat , 39, Huntington Beach, pleaded guilty to 16 felony counts of embezzlement by fiduciary of trust, 13 felony counts of money laundering, and 11 felony counts of grand theft by false pretenses with sentencing enhancements and allegations for aggravated white collar crime over $500,000 and $1.3 million.  He defendant was also ordered to pay $2,078,167.48 in restitution.

According to the Orange Country District Attorney's office, from 2009 to 2012, Ebadat owned and operated Costa Mesa Bellagio Motors, a car dealership that specialized in buying and selling high-end luxury vehicles from Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lexus, Lotus, Maserati, Porsche, and Rolls Royce.

During this time, Ebadat defrauded victims who wanted to sell their high-end vehicles by falsely claiming he would sell their cars on consignment, pay the owners, and transfer the car titles to the purchasers. The defendant sold cars worth $25,000 to $225,000 on consignment and then diverted the payments he received to his own personal accounts. Ebadat defrauded innocent buyers who paid for the vehicles in full but were unable to obtain legal car titles because the owners holding the titles had not been paid. He did not deliver some of the purchased vehicles to customers.

Costa Mesa Police Department began investigating the case and turned it over to Orange County Auto Theft Task Force (OCATT), a multi-jurisdictional law enforcement program that investigates, arrests, and prosecutes professional and career criminals responsible for Orange County vehicle thefts.

After the investigation of Bellagio Motors began in 2012, Ebadat abruptly closed his business, vacated the premises, and moved from his home in Huntington Beach to a rental home in Bermuda Dunes. Ebadat then emptied his bank accounts by transferring his funds to various other bank accounts.
This case was investigated by OCATT with forensics assistance from the Newport Beach Police Department. Senior Deputy District Attorney Dan Hess of OCATT prosecuted this case.

The Marriage Debate is Merely a Proxy a For a Much Larger a Revolution Under Way

Biology. Tradition. Children.

Constitution?
Rubbish.

So said the Supreme Court of the United States this morning in a 5-4 decision striking down laws in every state passed by the people upholding marriage.
Today we got the “Roe v. Wade of marriage” — where the Court pretends to settle a controversial social question by judicial fiat, while the rest of America says: “no way.”

In case the Vatican website is down (as it was earlier), here is another link to the document:http://www.osservatoreromano.va/en/news/encyclical-letter-laudato-si-holy-father-francis-c
We continue to digest the document as we write, and thus cannot possibly comment on all that it contains. It’s long — 184 pages. As the media is already reporting, it covers a broad set of issues including many controversial conclusions and proposals on climate change, global warming, fossil fuels and the need for new international political bodies to act.

Where in the World is the CHP in Coto de Caza?

Posted by CotoBlogzz

Coto de Caza -  if you stand at any of the most dangerous intersections in Coto de Caza (based on the number of traffic accidents) for more than 30 minutes, you should shot every something.

Then drive along Los Alisos in Lake Forest, or along Oso in Mission Viejo.  There is a high probability that you will encounter a law enforcement agent.  There is also a high probability most locals will slow down, as they know where the law enforcement agent might be.  Ditto for Los Osos.

Back to Coto de Caza -  it is clear that residents and or visitors do not  expect to see law enforcement in the most dangerous intersections in the area. There is also a high probability that you will see  several cars speeding right in front of caution signs.

NOTE: Historically, there is a correlation between CHP patrol hours, traffic accident rates and traffic fatalities

The worse part is that heuristics developed over the last fifteen years indicate that Coto de Caza is now ripe for another fatality:  The proactive patrol hours are much less than the 40 hours per week posed on the board by law mitigation action.

SEI collecting dividends from its investment in CA AG Kamalah Harris anent Immigration

Posted by CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - Last month, Attorney General Harris announced her office would host a series of statewide public forums in partnership with Univision Los Angeles, Service Employees International Union of California and iAmerica to inform Californians about the impact of President Barack Obama’s immigration executive actions. The statewide forums will also serve to warn consumers about potential scams and other fraud targeted at immigrant communities.

Today, the AG announced updated addresses for Los Angeles and Riverside immigration forums to be held later this month.

The public forums will be hosted in eight California counties including: Fresno, Kern, Los Angeles, Monterey, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Clara and Stanislaus. The statewide public forums will cover topics ranging from eligibility for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) program, including to how to avoid being a victim of fraud.

According to Harris. “Because of DAPA and DACA, so many families will be able to get out from living in the shadows. We want to shine a light on a new path that frees them from the lure of predators and con artists, These forums will inform immigrants about their rights and responsibilities under the new programs, helping them on their way to realizing the American Dream.”
There is just a slight problem problem:  After Texas and 25 other states sued the administration, calling the moves unconstitutional, federal judge Andrew Hane, put them on hold until the case is resolved and scolded good Vern net employees for misleading him. A federal appeals court recently upheld that injunction, with some now saying the court fight could last until late in Obama’s term.
Seems like far left attorney general Harris, like the government employees are putting the cart before the horse, prompted by SEIU.  After all, the SEIU and the California Teachers Union own Sacramento
