Eduardo Verástegui in his lead role as Jose in the film Bella won this year's Toronto Film Festival, a distinction that puts it in the company of Oscar winning films "Chariots of Fire," "Life is beautiful," and "American Beauty,".
Bella is a classic tale of redemption, about a young athlete who faced an unexpected tragedy and against all odds he did the right thing and, as a result, found meaning and happiness in the face of adversity.
Eduardo not only created an award winning film that goes beyond race, color or ideology, but opened up the hearts of human beings to find new ways to love. Eduardo in real life, spends his time helping under privileged children, sharing with them the family values and principles he says he got from upbringing in Mexico..
"Bella" was Produced by Eduardo Verasrgui, Leo Severino, Alejandro Monteverde, Sean Wolfington, and Denise Pinckley (Legend of Bagger Vance).
