Asm Chad Mayes Expedited AB-1799 Makes it out of Assembly - Hold Politicians accountable

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita - we keep arguing that we do not need legislators like Assemblyman Chad Mayes in Sacramento - instead, we need problem solvers.  And it is not looking good for homeowners in Common Interest Developments/ Homeowners Associations (CID/HOA) as  AB-1799  was voted off the assembly Thursday.

You can check to see if your Assembly voted for it.  If he or she did, make a note of it and when the time comes, make sure you vote to get him/her out of office.

Next stop for  AB- 1799 is the Senate for a vote for consideration.

You may just want to take action now and contact your elected official and let him or her know how you feel.

AB-1799 gives HOA boards the  power to decide (1) who can vote (2) who can run for a
board seat and (3) the power to cancel elections.

The CZ Master Association is basically doing this and more:  The HOA board is desperately trying to do anything it can to stop direct elections and to stop me personally.

The message is that California Assemblyman Chad Mayes’ ill-advised legislation AB-1799 must be stopped.   Mr. Mayes and the GOP and Democrat establishment are responsible of the rise of Trumpism, and this is a perfect example

But when you buy your own home, you expect to be in charge, deciding what to plant, what color to paint, where to walk the dog. Unless, that is, you live in a “common-interest community” governed by the most local form of government you can imagine -- a homeowners association (HOA).
