House Bill 4002 makes changes to the criminal consequences for possession of a controlled substance (PCS), the criminal standard for delivery of a controlled substance, and the criminal consequences for delivery of a controlled substance within certain spaces
KATU'S Emily Girsch quotes Homeless drug addict Derek Sabin as saying: “I think it's mostly just the strength of it,” he said. “It's everywhere, and it's super cheap as well, and it's just a very hard drug to break. Opiates are no joke."
It's certainly no joke. According to Yale Medicine, one reason why Fentanyl is driving overdose deaths is because fentanyl is easy to manufacture, it is easy to ship around the country. And because of its potency, it takes a small amount of fentanyl to create the effect of analgesia, the absence of pain, or euphoria or to help people avoid the symptoms of opioid withdrawal.
The House Select Commitee on the CCP reports that the PRC, under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), is the ultimate geographic source of the fentanyl crisis. Companies in China produce nearly all of illicit fentanyl precursors, the key ingredients that drive the global illicit fentanyl trade. The House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (Select Committee) launched an investigation to better understand the role of the CCP in the fentanyl crisis. Adding that The fentanyl crisis is one of the most horrific disasters that America has ever faced. On average, fentanyl kills over 200 Americans daily, the equivalent of a packed Boeing 737 crashing every single day. Fentanyl is the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18-45 and a leading cause in the historic drop in American life expectancy. It has led to millions more suffering from addiction, and the destruction of countless families and communities. Beyond the United States, fentanyl and other mass-produced synthetic narcotics from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) are devastating nations around the world. It is truly a global crisis.
California had the most total deaths from fentanyl in 2022 with 6,453. Florida (5,083) and New York (4,950) had the second and third most total deaths. In general, states with higher populations have more total fentanyl overdose deaths.
The Learn Six Sigma Training Guide states that ".. companies are getting more creative and discovering new ways to prevent faulty products and services to reach their customers. And they really need to do this." Because detecting a problem in the field is exponentially more expensive, than if it is detected and stopped at the factory.
Likewise with the drug supply chain, including fentanyl, where a 'defect" can be one dose of fentanyl. Once it gets to its final destination, it can be fatal and the cost is measured in human lives.
As the House Select Committee on the CCP states: "Beyond the United States, fentanyl and other mass-produced synthetic narcotics from the People’s Republic of China (PRC) are devastating nations around the world. It is truly a global crisis." Yet, as tragic as this global crisis is, the death toll due to the human sacrifice industrial complex, pales in comparison
The Christian view is that humans are bodies and souls, created in the image and likeness of God. Every human being has a unique and rational soul that animates his human body, whether in the womb or outside, with or without mental disorders. Often fentanyl addiction and or abortions, are linked to mental hygiene.
Mt 25:14-30
Jesus told his disciples this parable:
"A man going on a journey
called in his servants and entrusted his possessions to them.
To one he gave five talents; to another, two; to a third, one–
to each according to his ability.
Then he went away.
Immediately the one who received five talents went and traded with them,
and made another five.
Likewise, the one who received two made another two.
But the man who received one went off and dug a hole in the ground
and buried his master's money.
After a long time
the master of those servants came back and settled accounts with them.
The one who had received five talents
came forward bringing the additional five.
He said, 'Master, you gave me five talents.
See, I have made five more.'
His master said to him, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant.
Since you were faithful in small matters,
I will give you great responsibilities.
Come, share your master's joy.'
Then the one who had received two talents also came forward and said,
'Master, you gave me two talents.
See, I have made two more.'
His master said to him, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant.
Since you were faithful in small matters,
I will give you great responsibilities.
Come, share your master's joy.'
Then the one who had received the one talent came forward and said,
'Master, I knew you were a demanding person,
harvesting where you did not plant
and gathering where you did not scatter;
so out of fear I went off and buried your talent in the ground.
Here it is back.'
His master said to him in reply, 'You wicked, lazy servant!
So you knew that I harvest where I did not plant
and gather where I did not scatter?
Should you not then have put my money in the bank
so that I could have got it back with interest on my return?
Now then! Take the talent from him and give it to the one with ten.
For to everyone who has,
more will be given and he will grow rich;
but from the one who has not,
even what he has will be taken away.
And throw this useless servant into the darkness outside,
where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.'"
