Rancho Santa Margarita, CA -  The Irvine Police Department (IPD)  arrested three suspects for drug and mail-theft charges after receiving a tip of suspicious activity from an observant citizen, according to City Hall. The suspects are identified as Biancha Martinez, 24, of Riverside, Dustin Robinson, 25, of Riverside, and Christopher Walker, 26, of Perris. Walker and Robinson are both on probation.

On the morning of April 17, 2016, the Irvine Police Department received a call from a citizen reporting a suspicious occupied vehicle parked in front of a fast food restaurant on Main Street. The caller reported possible drug activity occurring in the vehicle.

IPD officers responded and contacted three occupants inside a gold Mercedes, which was determined to be an unreported stolen vehicle out of Riverside County. The three suspects were all found in possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and stolen mail. The mail had been stolen from numerous victims in Anaheim.

Officers were subsequently able to reach the owner of the stolen vehicle, who was out of the country and unaware that their car had been stolen.

According to a press release, “the observant citizen who called the police in this case is to be commended. IPD works in partnership with the community and encourages those who live, work, and attend school in the City of Irvine to always report suspicious activity. Please call 911 for emergencies or reach IPD for non-emergencies at 949-724-7000.  “
