I ordered Peter Kreeft's books Food for the Soul on recommendation from Bishop Robert Barron's Word on Fire.
I was underwhelmed when I opened the first book. Somehow, the content did not match my preconceived notion so I put it down; I realized the book is a compilation of homilies and commentaries. Now I love it Often when I serve during Mass. I'm not as attentive as I should be. Other times I can't focus and more often than not, I find it difficult to understand homilies by foreign-born pastors. This is not only the perfect complement, but is full of insights.
