Arizona - HOA board accused of misspending! UGLY! Woman gets hit at board meeting! This happens far too often! The death threats and more are terrible. All too common in HOAs in area of Pennsylvania, like Monroe County, PA. People are made homeless for asking about the associations money, books, or an inappropriate, non due, non authorized, or non voted fraudulent assessment. An extortion demand by someone who has no right to demand the monies for something that did not even exist! The groups and esp., the boards are stealing and they target innocent HOA homeowners in their scams to start lawsuits, to generate funds for lawyers and themselves to steal homes and the worst, "for the projected cost of a foreclosure." Some judges, or former judges are in on it also! Depends on the state and locale.

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – The HOA Industry represented by the Community Association Institute (CAI) recently issued the equivalent of the Tobacco Papers in its 2016 CAI Results of survey conducted by Zogby Analytics, which we refer to as the Fred Stare of the Sugar Industry.
One of the questions asked is whether homeowners are OK with the HOA using legal action for collection purposes and of course like in the case of Apple Pie, there were few who disagreed. However, as in the case of Almador Lakeside HOA V Carson, the issue is not about collections, as much as it is enforcement and intimidation: Or as we like to say, How HOA attorneys crush opposition with fees:
