The Antigua Board, Weapons of Mass Disinformation & Body Language

A letter was sent to Antigua homeowners by Naomi Poulson, the Antigua Board of Directors, and the management company PCM, as an actual smear campaign to malign Doug Kirk, and others, who want to run for the board.  It is important to note that Poulson and the Board intentionally excluded several homeowners in the mailing of this letter, including Doug Kirk, Jorge and Carol Cordero, and  myself. None of us received this letter.
The only reason we know this letter exists is due to the fact that an angry homeowner, already disgusted by Naomi Poulson's previous letter, contacted Doug and brought this most recent letter to his attention. 
Which brings me to this question: How can a person defend ones' self when they aren't even aware that a letter naming them, and clearly being used as a defamation tool by  Poulson and the Board, even exists?   
And, if the letter is sent out and signed by a board member, endorsing herself and the other board members, did they use Association funds to pay for this smear campaign against fellow homeowners?
In my opinion, this letter is being utilized as nothing more than a SMOKE SCREEN to divert attention away from the real problem, specifically, that the board and PCM have completely mismanaged finances, and continue to mismanage, to the point that our homeowners' dues have increased a total of 25% within the past three (3) years. It is also my opinion, after reading through the Antigua HOA minutes, that there have been no-bid contracts awarded to PCM vendors, resulting in an unnecessary increase of dues. 
Which brings me to this point and question: Doug Kirk questioned the board regarding why the finances are so out of control, and as a direct result of his line of questioning, he has incurred, and continues to incur, a  tremendous wrath by both the board and PCM . WHY IS THE BOARD SO  DEFENSIVE? WHAT ARE THEY HIDING?
Further, and also in my opinion, this letter suggests that the Board, and Therese Warburton, manager for PCM, are all willing to lie in an attempt to malign Doug Kirk's character by accusing him of several misdeeds, including, but not limited to, making an obscene gesture, and yelling at Therese Warburton to "shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up" during a meeting. If these allegations, as well as the others listed in the letter, were, in fact, true, then why weren't they addressed during the meeting on December 2, 2009? Or in Naomi Poulson's first letter?
Why are we just now hearing about them?
Moreover, Therese Warburton had ample opportunity to voice her opinion, and address these matters, when we spoke with her on the night of December 2, 2009, while she was at the Salt Creek Grille with Antigua Board President Beverly Ayala.  (It is also pertinent to note that, in the most recent letter, Naomi Poulson maligns Doug Kirk while conveniently omitting the fact that she HAS admitted to making  an obscene gesture to homeowners during a meeting).
According to the letter, it is my opinion that PCM continues to condone the malicious lies, untruths, and overall allegations being made against Doug Kirk by their manager, Therese Warburton, and the board. Simply transferring Ms. Warburton to another community, as she told us has happened, does not resolve this problem, nor does it mitigate PCM's culpability in this matter; perhaps this lends itself to the fact that the company culture of PCM tends to favor attacking homeowners who question homeowner boards managed by PCM--I saw this first-hand when Mike Curtis of Laguna Woods and the OC Register Watch Dog chronicled his horrendous fight and subsequent lawsuit with PCM.
Lastly, and the question begs: Why does Naomi Poulson, and the Antigua Board of Directors, hold such disdain and contempt towards Antigua homeowners?

 Editor's NoteThe letter  Ms. Valmus alludes to is typical HOA/CID board of directors' self-serving communiqué stating in part:
"The 2010 election is not about the qualification of the Antigua’s Management company, or the integrity of the current board.  There is an accumulation of  22 years of unblemished service among the present board members.  The elections concerns the quality of living in Monarch Beach and a few homeowners who are disgruntled by having to abide by member-approved parking and towing regulations.
At past homeowners meetings, Mr. Kirk has maintained a bellicose attitude when speaking to all board members – goading them when they spoke to him or criticism them when they didn’t
Toward the end of the meeting Mr Kirk shouted down our management representative while she attempted to answer his question yelling at her over and over to “ shut up, shut up, shut up” forbidding her to speak  and commanding the board to make her stop talking.
At the end of the meeting  all board members and management witnessed Mr. Kirk approach me at the Director’s table and in a menacing manner thump the table and announce that “everyone is going to hear about this

Laguna Woods Village, CA -Whether the United Board recall is absolutely necessary is debatable.  What is not debatable is the Golden Rain Foundations  board’s behavior during the June 2, 2009.  When all residents wanted was a little respect, board president Erwin Stuller resorted to unnecessary defamatory and personal attacks.  What is more appalling is that the rest of the board failed to step in and apply a modicum of decorum to the proceedings.  Such behavior is not only despicable but calls for an apology and stepping down.  The video clip capturing Mr. Stullers less than despicable behavior during  the proceedings are quickly becoming a rallying cry against abusive HOA directors.
