Background- Hartwood Disc Golf Course Project
The Washougal City Council in what can best be described as a boneheaded decision & at worst, political malpractice, without environmental studies nor residents input, destroyed #HartwoodPark natural Habitat frequented by residents, in favor of an adult #DiscGolfCourse catering to a small outside vocal minority, right next to a children's park
To date
1. The City has not addressed children's safety from errant discs or pedophiles
2 . The City has not addressed why it destroyed a natural Habitat frequented by residents In favor of an outsider vocal minority
3. The City has not addressed Nuisance. issues: residents are already experiencing a congregation of vagrants & noise pollution
What we have done:
We sent an Freedom Of Information Act request to the City's Park Commission, Michelle Wagner. No Response
Recently the SAO issued a "Clean Bill of Health" to the City of Washougal. So, we contacted SAO's Lindsay Osborne for the criteria used to conduct the city's audit. We considered her response non-response.
We contacted Pat McCarthy's office due to perceived inconsistencies between her congratulatory letter to the City and Ms Osborne`s response to our request. No Response
We sent a Request to MRSC's Executive Director Tracy Burrows. No Response
