Democrats don't have a monopoly in caring for the poor and the widow as they imply

Caring for the poor and the widow is nothing new, and Democrats don't have a monopoly in the industry, as Democrats and the mainstream media may want you to believe.

The core principle of Catholic social teaching, based on Sacred Scripture, emphasizing human dignity, rights and responsibilities, preferential concern for the vulnerable, including the unborn, participation in society and stewardship of creation is as valid today as it was 2000 years ago.  The principle is illustrated in most of the 10,000 plus saints of the Catholic Church, including Saint Elizabeth of Hungary whose feast day is today, November 17. The principle is not up for debate.  The implementation is.

Sacred Scriptures

The Bible emphasizes the care for the poor and widows extensively, with the theme appearing in over 2,000 verses dealing with poverty, justice, and compassion, and with approximately 80 direct references to widows.

The command to care for the poor and the widow is repeated in various forms throughout both the Old and New Testaments. This pervasive theme highlights God's deep concern for the vulnerable and His call for His people to reflect that concern through action.

The Law given to ancient Israel included specific commands to ensure the poor, widows, orphans, and foreigners were provided for. This included leaving some of the harvest in the fields for them to gather (gleaning) and ensuring they had access to food and justice.

Prophets frequently condemned those who oppressed the poor and widows, linking the failure to care for the vulnerable to spiritual failure and a lack of justice.

Jesus' teachings and the letters of the apostles reinforced these mandates. The book of James states that "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction".

The multitude of referencesunderscores that caring for the poor and widows is not a minor suggestion but a central ethical and religious obligation in the Bible

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) emphasizes the "option for the poor and vulnerable" as a core principle of Catholic social teaching. This commitment is rooted in the belief that every person has inherent dignity as they are made in the image of God and that Christ is specially present in the poor (Matthew 25). The USCCB advocates for policies that:

Protect Human Dignity: Ensure the basic necessities of life, such as food, clothing, shelter, education, healthcare, and a safe environment, are available to all.

Address Systemic Injustice: Work to change social, political, and economic structures that perpetuate poverty, not just alleviate immediate needs.
Advocate for the Voiceless: Prioritize the needs and rights of those who are marginalized and lack power, enabling them to participate actively in society.

Promote an "Option for the Poor": A "basic moral test" of any society is how its most vulnerable members are faring, and the needs of the poor have the most urgent claim on the national conscience.

Engage in Charitable Action: The Church engages in extensive charitable work through organizations like the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) and Catholic Charities, providing services and working to address the root causes of poverty.

Common Good

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) defines the common good as the sum total of social conditions allowing individuals and groups to reach fulfillment more easily. It is a core principle of Catholic social teaThe phrase "put your oxygen mask on first" is a well-known metaphor for prioritizing self-care so that one is better equipped to help others.

The universal Church's concern for the poor and the widow is nothing new. However, there's a huge difference between caring for the poor and the widow, when these are being used as human shields.

America's is Exceptional and needs to remain so to assist others.

The United States is fundamentally different from other nations, due to its unique origins as a republic founded on ideals of liberty, individualism, and democracy. The U.S. has a special, often divinely ordained, mission to promote freedom and democracy around the world

• Foundation on Ideals: Unlike nations founded on common ethnicity or history, the U.S. was established on abstract political principles, such as those articulated in the Declaration of Independence ("all Men are created equal").

• Unique Political System: The U.S. Constitution and its system of checks and balances are a unique framework that protects individual rights and prevents the rise of despotic government.

• "City Upon a Hill": Tracing back to Puritan leader John Winthrop's 1630 sermon, America is a "shining city on a hill"—an exemplary model for the rest of the world to emulate.

• Manifest Destiny and Global Role:  ties into the 19th-century idea of "manifest destiny" and a 20th/21st-century sense of global leadership, suggesting the U.S. is destined to expand its values and play a vital role in world history.

• Rugged Individualism/American Dream: The frontier experience and a lack of European-style feudal class structures are often cited as fostering an American spirit of self-reliance and the belief that anyone, regardless of background, can succeed through hard work.

As Margaret Thatcher might say, "Europe  was created by history." America was created by God."  Ergo, etymologically, Democrats, Muslims, Communists' values  are not compatible with Founding American Culture. You can work to make a more perfect union, not to fundamentally transform it, as Barrack Hussain Obama and Democrats often argue.

Enabling the destruction of a country is not consistent with the greater good: Put Your Own Oxygen Mask First

The phrase "put your oxygen mask on first" is a well-known metaphor for prioritizing self-care so that one is better equipped to help others.
It stems from the safety instructions given on airplanes: in the event of a loss of cabin pressure, passengers are explicitly told to secure their own oxygen mask before attempting to assist others, even a child. The logic is that if you run out of oxygen and lose consciousness, you become unable to help anyone, potentially resulting in harm to both yourself and those around you.

The country was nearly destroyed by mass migration. Globalists seek "peace and prosperity" via "democracy," but in reality, the only way they can achieve this is to subdue the entire Western world into silence and compliance. Tyranny is ingrained into the DNA of globalists. These people have not gone anywhere. These people, like Sociopath Newsom, Schumer & Jaypal
are doubling down if anything. All that comes back in an instant the moment they get back in power.

Mass migration is not compassion as the Democrats and the media wants you to believe. And ICE, as Democrats and mainstream media may argue,  is not the enemy, but the hero.

ICE agents are experiencing an 8000% plus increase in threats to personal and professional safety, due mostly to MSM, Democrats, ACLU et al.

Today, Democrats are sacrificing Americans on SNAP to secure free healthcare for illegal aliens.

For 40 Days, mainstream  media and Democrats were holding the government hostage yelling and screaming for Republicans to 'negotiate' - the last two weeks  before the end of the government shutdown they called calling President Trump heartless because the children on SNAP were starving.

It's clear they didn't care about the children, but about the ransom money: Democrats were holding the government hostage unless they could get  BBSB-  Bring Back SNAP Better! That is why Democrats wanted $1.5 TRILLION in ransom money

Let's take a look at the "hungry' Americans:

The general adult obesity rate in the US has been increasing:  over 40% of  Americans are obese.

Immigrants from Mexico and Central America and the Indian subcontinent have some of the highest rates of overweight/obesity among immigrant groups, with prevalence around 71.5% and 73.4% respectively (overweight and obesity combined). Specifically.

1 in 8 people receive SNAP benefits

1 in 5 children are obese

1/ 3 people in Los Angeles  County CA is on SNAP

More than 1in 5 adults are obese in LACO

In Los Angeles County, the obesity rate for children is 37%, higher than the California state average of 35%

You know with SNAP you can buy caviar,  cigars, champagne and fine international cuisine. Not to mention SNAP is mostly used by foreigners and can be used as cash for anything.  10 cents on the dollar.

45% of Afghanistan immigrants are on food stamps.

42% of Somali immigrants,

34% of every immigrant from Iraq,

23% of Haitians.

59% of ALL illegal aliens are collecting food stamps,

The Abolition of the Black Man

Andy Beshear, Bernie, Newsom, Hochul Pocahontas and a number of Black so-called pastors, including Bryant. better described as race-hustlers have promoted the killing  of 80 million babies, mostly black and brown, enabled by the Global Circular Reporting Mafia Ring led by the Atheist,  Antisemitic,  AntiChristian NYT and previously funded by Samantha Power's USAID -

DOGE found nearly 5,000 media outlets funded by USAID alone — including Politico, New York Times, and even the BBC. At least $500 million fueling a worldwide industry of propaganda and censorship.

The complete destruction of the African-American nuclear family

80% of African-American children live in fatherless homes with obvious subsequent social ills

They manage to monetize hate and division so that 90% of African Americans vote for Democrats- the same progressive policies that's keeping them in the plantation.

Overview of the Size of the Problem: Foreign Born Population

A peak in early 2024: Data from the U.S. Census Bureau's Current Population Survey showed the total foreign-born population peaking in January 2025 at 53.3 million, an all-time high that included the unauthorized population. While Federal law explicitly prevents undocumented non-citizens from receiving SNAP, the law is meaningless for those who have already broken it.

As of January 2025, the total number of first and second-generation immigrants in the United States was over 93 million people. This figure is an estimate that includes the 53.3 million foreign-born residents (first generation) and their U.S.-born children (second generation).

2024 data showing a rise to 22.4%. Immigrants are slightly more likely to be in poverty than native-born citizens, and non-citizen immigrants have a notably higher poverty rate, reaching 28.4% in 2024.

Add Corruption

You know with SNAP you can buy caviar, cigars, champagne and fine international cuisine. Not to mention SNAP is mostly used by foreigners and can be used as cash for anything. 10 cents on the dollar. You may say that legally, SNAP cannot be used to buy alcohol. Legally, Illigal immigrants are not allowed to be here. But they are.

As Secretary Rollins writes "On my first day @USDA we told every state to send us their SNAP data so we could make sure illegal immigrants aren’t getting benefits meant for American families. 29 states stepped up. 21 blue states refused — and two SUED US FOR ASKING! And guess what? In just the states that cooperated, we’ve already uncovered massive fraud. The Democrat Party has turned its back on working Americans and built its entire strategy around protecting illegal aliens. They know if the handouts stop, those illegals will go back home, and Democrats will lose 20+ seats after the next census. There’s a new sheriff in town. @POTUS will not tolerate waste, fraud, or abuse while hardworking Americans go hungry.

Border Chief Aaron Heitke confirms he was ordered by the Biden–Harris administration to cover up, conceal, and manipulate data on the border crisis; to deliberately decrease the amount of detention space nationwide; to issue new Social Security numbers to illegal aliens; to provide them with maximum Social Security benefits and Medicaid; to register them to vote; and, in fact, to allow them to vote in U.S. elections.

“We have no idea who or what is coming through our country.” — Regarding SIAs: “Special Interest Aliens (SIAs) and known and suspected terrorists… At the time, I was told I could not release any information on this increase in SIAs or mention any of the arrests. The administration was trying to convince the public there was no threat at the border.” — FENTANYL “San Diego sees between 80% and 90% of the methamphetamine and fentanyl seizures annually for our entire country. With little enforcement at the border, these drugs were coming through in mass. During my last year in San Diego, the price for a single pill of fentanyl went from $10 to 25 cents.” — FUNDING “To make matters worse, during 2022 and 2023 I had to shut down San Diego traffic checkpoints—which are critical for drug interdiction—because the resources had been diverted to the process and release mission.” — THE COVER-UP “I had to release illegal aliens each day into communities that could not support them. To quiet the problem, two flights a week were provided from San Diego to Texas. Each flight cost approximately $150,000. This was the administration’s way of trying to quiet the border crisis.” “Under pressure from the administration, my headquarters became more interested in the fiction being portrayed in the media, and not at all concerned with reality. We had 2,000 or more illegal aliens sitting between the fences, asking to turn themselves in. I WAS TOLD TO MOVE THEM OUT OF SIGHT OF THE MEDIA.

Joe Biden's HHS urged illegal aliens to sign up for SNAP benefits. "Information will not be shared with immigration enforcement."

As of recent data, an estimated 13 million able-bodied adults without dependents (ABAWDs) received SNAP benefits on average annually between 2017 and 2019, the most recent period for which complete data is available.  Does not include other type of fraud and abuse. In the the New Testament book of 2 Thessalonians, the Apostle Paul, the author of the letter, addressed a specific situation within the early Christian community in Thessalonica where some able-bodied members were refusing to work and living idle lives, becoming busybodies and a burden on others.p0

The Poor vs the 'Poor'

The primary difference between the poor 2,000 years ago and the poor in the USA in 2025 is that modern poor individuals generally have access to basic amenities like sanitation, emergency medical care, and a social safety net, which were non-existent in antiquity.
Quality of Life & Basic Necessities
Feature Poor 2,000 Years Ago (e.g., Ancient Rome)Poor in the USA (2025)
ShelterLived in cramped, often unsanitary housing, with high risks of disease.Have access to formal housing, although conditions may be crowded, unsafe, or involve homelessness (shelters available).
SanitationLacked running water and proper sewage systems, leading to high rates of disease.Have access to running water, proper sewage systems, and waste removal, significantly improving health and life expectancy.
Food & NutritionLived near subsistence levels, with diets often monotonous and prone to scarcity during famines. "Breadlines" in places like Rome offered limited aid.Access to a wide variety of food is generally available (though affordability and nutritional quality can be issues), and food assistance programs exist.
HealthcareNon-existent for the poor; medical help was rudimentary and accessible only to the wealthy.Have access to emergency medical treatment, public health systems, and various health insurance options (e.g., Medicaid, ACA plans), though costs and access can still be a challenge.
Life ExpectancyVery low, with high infant mortality and vulnerability to disease.Significantly higher due to modern medicine, sanitation, and nutriti

Socio-Economic System & Opportunity
Feature Poor 2,000 Years AgoPoor in the USA (2025)
Social MobilityRigid class systems offered minimal opportunity for upward movement. Most were farmers or manual laborers. While inequality is significant and can persist across generations, social mobility is possible, and a range of educational and employment opportunities exist.
Government AssistanceEssentially non-existent, beyond occasional bread doles or private charity in some areas.A complex social safety net provides benefits like unemployment insurance, food stamps (SNAP), and social security for the elderly.
TechnologyNo access to advanced technology. Life was characterized by manual labor and simple tools.Access to modern technology is pervasive, with many poor individuals having smartphones and internet access, which can provide information and job access.
Political/Legal StatusOften had few or no legal rights and could be enslaved.Possess full legal and political rights, including the right to vote and protection under law.

The poor in the modern USA have a materially better existence in terms of basic survival, health, and access to technology than the poor of 2,000 years ago, who faced constant threats of famine, disease, and exploitation without government intervention.

While the core principle of Catholic social teaching, based on Sacred Scripture, emphasizing human dignity, including the unborn,  rights and responsibilities, preferential concern for the vulnerable, participation in society and stewardship of creation is as valid today as it was
2000 years ago, the sheer size of the problem cannot be surgically fixed, as most of us would like:  Show me a concentration of power and wealth and I will show you corruption.  The alternative is to clean the slate and start anew. As Albert Einstein might say: "No Southern Invasion problem can be solved by the same level Democrats that created it"
