The Tale of Two GOP Candidates

Posted by CotoBlogzz 06-02-2010 12:00 PM

Although weeks ago we predicted the outcome, at least two GOP candidates continue their respective fight to the end.  On the other hand, their last email blast may be indicative of which Tea Madame Boxer will be served during mid-term elections.  Regular Tea or Flavored?  Palin or DeMint.

Chuck DeVore’s message came in first asking rhetorically:  Are you willing to sit by and let a moderate Republican get elected in place of Barbara Boxer… Past Senate primary races have shown dramatic tightening in the last week of the campaign. This election is no different.”  Then closing with a warning:   “In short, there is only ONE conservative in this race:. California Republicans have been burned before by their current Governor and especially by the establishment forces in Washington who have chosen Carly Fiorina to be their moderate champion.”

Carly’s message prominently displays her celebrity endorsements:  “ Endorsed by Sarah Parlin, Condy Rice, Rick Santorum, Tom Coburn, National Right to Life Committee, Susan B. Anthony List, Jim inhofe,” and looks beyond the primary expecting a  mud-wrestling match:

“On June 8, California voters will cast their ballots and.. .California Republicans will entrust me with the solemn responsibility of facing off against a liberal career politician in a November matchup that will be one for the record book,” then adds  “ The liberal special interests know that Barbara Boxer is in the fight of her political career,…I have instructed my campaign team to be ready to respond to these attacks on day one.

Vote wrongly if you will, but vote.
