Calling All Actors for Upcoming Saddleback College Theatre Arts Productions

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – Open auditions for Saddleback College’s Fall 2014 Theatre Arts productions of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Lend Me A Tenor, and A Charlie Brown Christmas will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 26th and 27th. Callbacks will be held Thursday and Friday, August 28th and 29th.  All auditions will be held at 6 p.m. in the McKinney Theatre, Saddleback College, 28000 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo.  

To be considered visit and fill out and download four audition forms. Additional information for each show can be found on the same website. For The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, please bring sheet music in correct key (16-32 bars), and be familiar with the score. An accompanist will be provided. 

For both non-musicals and musicals, a one-minute monologue is required for each audition. Monologues will be provided for those who do not have one prepared. Scripts will be available at the Performing Arts office in FA 304.  Call 949-582-4766for further information.

The Saddleback College Theatre Arts program produces several fully-staged shows in which students are encouraged to participate.  Theatre Arts students are given the opportunity to audition for every production and they are given priority in the casting process.  In addition there are numerous opportunities are also provided for students to contribute in backstage activities of all college productions.
