Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. - On Monday, March 16, 2015, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lharimi Lamsen, 30, Stanton, on suspicion of bank robbery. Lamsen was arrested as he fled the area of the Wells Fargo Bank where he is suspected of having just committed an armed robbery.
According to Orange County District Attorney spokesperson, Lt. Jeff Hallock, at approximately 2:02 p.m., deputies responded to the Well Fargo Bank in the 27800 block of Vista Del Lago. As deputies arrived, Lamsen was seen running on the street adjacent to the bank. Following a short foot pursuit by deputies, Lamsen was detained and taken into custody. Lamsen is suspected of having entered the bank and brandishing a handgun, ordering employees and customers to the ground. Lamsen fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash which was later recovered from the scene.
Based on evidence and information collected during the investigation, Lamsen is believed to be responsible for a March 6th bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank in the 26000 block of Town Centre, Lake Forest.
Lamsen was arrested for bank robbery and booked into the Santa Ana Police Department Jail as investigators intend to pursue federal charges again Lamsen.
The investigations were conducted by the Orange County Bank Robbery Apprehension Team (BRAT), a Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) task force participated in by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
