Grammy Winner NY Saxophonist John O’Gallagher at Saddleback College

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA--On Monday, April 27th at 7:30 p.m., New York Saxophonist John O’Gallagher joins the Saddleback College Jazz Lab Ensemble for an evening of jazz in the McKinney Theatre. 

On Tuesday, April 28th at 7:30 p.m. in the McKinney Theatre, the John O’Gallagher Trio will delight jazz enthusiasts with their innovative style which pushes the boundaries of jazz while rooted in its tradition. 


Born in California and based in New York since the early 90’s, O’Gallagher has recorded extensively for labels like Clean Feed and Fresh Sounds, and has been a mainstay of big bands for Maria Schneider, Kenny Wheeler and the late Joe Henderson, with whom he won a Grammy. The trio consists of John O’Gallagher – alto sax, Ronan Guifoyle – bass, and Jeff Williams – drums.

Saddleback College is located at 28000 Marguerite Pkwy in Mission Viejo, just east of Interstate 5 at the Avery Parkway exit.  Take Avery Parkway to Marguerite Parkway and turn left.  Turn right into the campus at the third traffic light, which is Saddleback’s Marguerite entrance. Take the second left to Theatre Circle and turn right into Parking Lot 12. Parking is free in Lot 12 for these performances.
