Happening/Unhappening, Interactive Artistic Experience Returns to Saddleback College Dedicated to late Richard White

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Rano Santa Margarita,  CA.  Saddleback College students and faculty in the arts are to bring back Happening/Unhappening to the Studio Theatre after a year’s hiatus due to the passing of  beloved Richard White on February 3, 2015.

Mr. Whoite was a full-time ceramics professor in the Art Department for 26 years, and five years ago, he and Jazz faculty Joey Sellers brainstormed an interactive interdisciplinary experience incorporating jazz, poetry, painting and sculpture in a single time-sensitive performance. Four years of original, eye-popping entertainment continues, and on Friday, February 5th  at 7:30 p.m. in the Studio Theatre, the event is Happening/ Unhappening again! Students and faculty from the music, art, theatre, dance, and speech departments will showcase this hybrid piece of art that breaks down the walls between the various disciplines as they react and interact in a spontaneous and unpredictable way.
