Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – The  Department of Theatre Arts at Saddleback presents A Night of Chekhov in the Studio Theatre at Saddleback College, April 29th  through May 7th

Directed by Olivia Trevino, audiences will enjoy six of the Russian playwright’s hysterical farces. The collection includes:

The Bear: With fast-paced, biting dialogue and accidentally broken furniture, this three-character play resembles an act from vaudeville.

Swan Song. A powerful character study of a 68-year old stage actor in his last performance on the stage.

The Wedding Reception: A comedy centered on the pretentious characters at a wedding reception.

The Festivities: The 15th anniversary celebration of a bank opening turns to chaos.

The Dangers of Tobacco: A short comedic monologue in the form of a public lecture.

The Proposal:  Despite the name, there is no proposal in this comic sketch.
