And because of its potency, it takes a small amount of fentanyl to create the effect of analgesia, the absence of pain, or euphoria or to help people avoid the symptoms of opioid withdrawal.

According to the DEA, Fentanyl is smuggled across the U.S.-Mexico border in low concentration, high-volume loads, kilogram seizures often contain less than a 10 percent concentration of fentanyl. The Christian view is that humans are bodies and souls, created in the image and likeness of God. Every human being has a unique and rational soul that animates his human body, whether in the womb or outside, with or without mental disorders. Often fentanyl addiction and or abortions, are linked to mental hygiene.
In the essay Catholic Teaching on Mental Health, the Justice + Peace Office states: All human beings regardless of what ailment they suffer are made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27) and we are called to love them “as another self” (Gaudium et Spes, 27). Pope Saint John Paul II affirmed in particular that all who suffer from mental illness are also made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27) and we are called to love.

To one he gave five talents; to another, two; to a third, one–
to each according to his ability.
