Coto de Caza' Sidewalk Work - Public Safety or Shovel Ready Jobs?

Posted By CotoBlogzz

After a thorough inventory of the sidewalks lining Coto de Caza Dr and Visa del Verde, we were ready to congratulate the CZ Master Association homeowners’ board for taking swift action and removing public safety hazards by grinding down uneven concrete slabs.

Then something happened, which appears to have no rhyme or reason:  A high percentage of the sidewalks on both Vista del Verde and Coto de Caza drive are being replaced.  The problem is that slabs which we thought should be replaced are not.  Some which we thought were perfectly fine are being removed.

Further, the work has taken months to complete, exposing the association to additional liability.

After contacting the board via email on March 15, 2012, looks like the work is finally coming to an end.  However, the questions we asked the board then remain unanswered.

Sidewalk work almost complete after months of waiting.................

The questions we asked include:

1.                               How many slabs are being removed on Coto de Caza Dr. and Vista del Verde, respectively
2.                                How many each, are being removed for safety, aesthetic or other reasons?
3.                               Who reviewed and approved the replacement and what was the criteria used?
4.                               tell us whether three bids were solicited to get the work done and is so, what was the criteria to select the  current supplier?

No apparent rhyme or reason - slabs perfectly fine replaced, others  right next to those replaced, are not....

Now, if the board did not have a questionable records anent supplier management, an impartial observer may argue that the questions may be questions searching for a problem.  The board’s records shows otherwise however.

For the records, the board never responded.

RELATED STORIES

One of the major issues Joe Morabito, former member of the CZ Master Association board of directors,  has been raising for years  with respect to  prudent fiscal  policies is the establishment of an effective Supplier Management process.  He in fact has volunteered his expertise a number of times - after all, that is what he does. The board has consistently refused to engage Mr. Morabito, whether his services are offered free and or at market value.

Coto de Caza’ Redistribution of Wealth: From Seniors to Dogs

Coto de Caza, CA- You cannot make this up:  The Coto de Caza local governance, aka the CZ Master Association, has decided to proceed to build a dog park.  Not a problem, particularly when you paraphrase Karl Marx’s  1875 Critique of the Gotha Program “From Coto de Caza seniors according to their means, to dogs, according to their owner’s whims”

The CA GOP, Here it blows again! – The 2012 California US Senate race:

The GOP, Here it blows again! – The 2012 California US Senate race:

Posted By CotoBlogzz

After the 2010 midterm elections, a Facebook friend had a dim view of the  future of California, writing: “For those people who continue to think you can elect a conservative in a state-wide race here are the latest stats:17.3 million Californians registered to vote. D=44% R=31% Decline to state=3.5% What would make the DTS plus the 9.5% needed from the D's vote for a conservative? Nobody has answered this yet? How does 31% stretch to 45%”

Our partial response then:

”Numbers do not lie, they just do not tell the whole story. For the people who are proud to say they vote on principle they make an excellent MacBeth impersonation: A tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury, signifying nothing" - Sort of like the Ron Paul supporters in 2012.

Reflecting on the 2010 midterm election, we thought the results were less an indictment of the electorate's stupidity, as the President might say, when he characterized  69% of  Americans as either apathetic or stupid, but more a function of the mostly radical left wing and hyphenated media's use of weapons of mass disinformation to manipulate the electorate, including the use of the race card - and why President Obama has a good chance at a second term - terms like demons, and "those who do not agree with Obama are idiots" as the recent Newsweekly article might say, are examples of rhetorical devices arming the WMD - and the California GOP has no proven defense.

The midterm results were mostly:

1) An illustration of how much political capital the California Teachers Union and the SEIU have accumulated by spending combined over $500,000,000 over the last ten years. In other words, most of the politicians in Sacramento owe the unions - one of California's Triple Threat: 1) Unions, 2) Lobbyist 30 Parasitic Bureaucracies Whitman took a stand on the Triple Threat. Brown represents the Threat!

The political machine the CTA and the SEIU have been able to put together is so formidable; it can be turned on a dime to manipulate the Hyphen-American vote - putting the interests of the Hyphen-American first and foremost at the expense of the American interest.

2) The incompetence of the California GOP- who could have managed to grab a few offices, yet was able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Consequently, we suggested then that the California's GOP leadership seriously consider stepping down immediately, and for the new blood to consider this mantra: it's the brand, stupid!

As in the midterm elections, we will be covering the US senate race closely: However, we can already see the GOP doing the same thing, expecting different results:

This installment includes an Emken-Hughes comparison, as viewed by Hughes -we intend to follow up with the crest of the candidates and get their take:

Dan Hughes
-Consistently opposed Obamacare

-Built and Operated numerous businesses Created almost 100 jobs

-Political Outsider-Supports sensible term limits to bring an end to the â€Å“career politician.â€ Pledged to voluntarily observoluntarily observe term limits.

-Supports a return to limited Constitutional government

Elizabeth Emken
-Claimed she opposed Obamacare, but worked as a paid lobbyist to include millions of dollars of earmarks in the bill

-No business experience

-Political insider/works as a paid lobbyist

-Is silent on term limits

-Advocated for the expansion of federal government programs including the un-constitutional Obamacare

Ranch0 Santa Margarita After-school leader convicted of molesting boys

Posted by CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA  - Scott Andrew Christensen , a Rancho Santa Margarita  after-school child care leader was yesterday  of molesting two young boys during program hours while entrusted to care for them at an afterschool daycare program.

Christensen, 28, Rancho Santa Margarita, was found guilty by a jury of three felony counts of lewd acts on a child under the age of 14 years with sentencing enhancement allegations for substantial sexual conduct with a child and committing the sexual acts against more than one victim and mandatory lifetime sex registration. Christensen faces a maximum sentence of 45 years to life in state prison for this case, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s office.,

Christensen was previously convicted in 2008 of two felony counts of lewd acts on a child under the age of 14 years with a sentencing enhancement allegation of substantial sexual conduct with a child who was under 14 years old and faces 10 years in state prison for that case.

He faces a maximum sentence of 55 years to life in state prison for both cases and his sentencing is scheduled for June 1, 2012, at 9:00 a.m.

At the time of the crimes, Christensen was a 6-year employee as a Child Care Leader at The Learning Connection (TLC), an after-school daycare program hosted by the Saddleback Valley Unified School District at elementary schools in Southern California.

On two occasions between Sept. 1, 2005, and Aug. 7, 2006, Christensen sexually assaulted John Doe #2 when he was 5 to 6 years old.

On one occasion between May 6, 2000, and Aug. 1, 2004, Christensen sat next to John Doe #3 during a movie while the lights were off and exhibited inappropriate behavior..

Christensen's lifetime registration as a sex offender would bar him from entering County recreational areas and City parks which have passed the Sex Offender Ordinance..

South Orange County Curfew Sweep Nets 26 juveniles

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA -  - One of the largest-ever Orange County curfew sweeps was conducted last night by  over 200 law enforcement officers, netting 26 juveniles in violation of city curfew laws. These curfew sweeps, organized by the Orange County Gang Reduction and Intervention Partnership (OCGRIP), aim to prevent juveniles from being victims of or participants in gang crimes. OCGRIP works to identify at-risk youth, increase school attendance, and decrease gang activity.

he participating agencies included police departments from the Cities of Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, La Habra, Placentia, Santa Ana, and Tustin, and the Santa Ana Unified School Police. OCSD patrolled the Cities of Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton, and north and south unincorporated Orange County.  Senator Lou Correa attended the sweep.

Last night and early this morning, officers patrolled Orange County cities and unincorporated areas for children ages 17 and under out in public past curfew, in violation of city laws. Curfews in Orange County begin at 10:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m., depending on the city, and last until 5:00 a.m. the following day. Minors are prohibited from being in public during these hours unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian or are subject to circumstantial exceptions made for minors participating in employment, educational, or emergency activities.

The teams conducting the curfew sweeps found 26 juveniles in violation of curfew ordinances. The curfew sweeps focused mainly on areas with a high volume of gang and/or criminal activity and all gang injunction Safety Zones. In addition to the curfew sweeps, the enforcement teams provided standard police patrol.

The minors found in violation of curfew laws were taken in police cars to law enforcement headquarters and held until their parents arrived to pick them up. Before releasing the juvenile to their parent, the juvenile and parent were required to meet with representatives from OCDA and other participating law enforcement agencies to discuss the dangers and legal consequences for both the parent and child who violate curfew laws. They also met with probation officers for references to resources such as parenting classes, substance abuse treatment and family therapy. One juvenile was picked up for possession of a knife and was directly transported to Orange County Juvenile Hall.

The legal consequences of violating curfew laws could include misdemeanor criminal prosecution with penalties ranging from fines up to six months in jail for the parent or juvenile hall for the child, plus the associated financial costs.

Angela Valles Tied For 8th District Congress Runoff Spot; 1st Among Republican Voters

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Victorville, CA  -  A recent survey shows Councilwoman Angela Valles as the most viable candidate in the Republican field of competitors in the race for Congress in the newly formed 8th Congressional District.

Results showed Jackie Conaway with 18%, followed by Councilwoman Angela Valles with 15%, and County Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt at 15%.   A surprising finding is that Councilwoman Angela Valles was the top choice among Republican voters, receiving 23% of the Republican vote.

According to a Councilwoman Valles press release,  she was both humbled and encouraged by the results and stated that she would continue her grassroots campaign and not succumb to bought-and-paid-for endorsements or pandering of any kind.

“In Congress, I will work with Republicans and Democrats to grow our economy and move towards balancing the federal budget,” Valles said. “I am running to serve the people of the High Desert and not special interests. I will seek tax relief for the middle class and small businesses so that we can create more jobs.”

Boosted by the favorable results, Valles has resolved to continue her commitment to the people of the 8th District and the City of Victorville. She is steadfast in her promise to continue to fight for the fiscal solvency of her city and bring fresh ideas to Congress.

Answer to LAUSD Sex Abuse Debacle? It is the Culture, Stupid!

 Posted By CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – Yesterday, Freshman California Assemblyman Mansoor from the 68th district, responding to the recent teacher misconduct scandal in Los Angeles, joined other Republicans in proposing legislation sought by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Los Angeles Unified officials to empower local school districts to swiftly remove predators from the classroom and seek their dismissal.

In a press release issued by Assemblyman Mansoor, he is quoted as stating:  "I'm proud to support this set of reforms in response to these scandals in LA. In specific I'm very interested in the measure that strips pension benefits for teachers who commit a job-related felony; there is no place for such conduct in California schools….  It is unfortunate that it took unspeakable acts against students to be reported in order for this issue to gain more visibility, but better late than never" said Assemblyman Mansoor.

Something similar happened with the WorldCom debacle.  In that case, the rise and fall of WorldCom founder Bernard Ebbers Mar. 15 2005 conviction on nine counts of fraud, conspiracy, and filing false documents was touted as marking a major victory in the government's war on white-collar corruption  - the WorldCom Debacle coupled with Enron, Tyco International, Adelphia, Peregrine Systems and other scandals, which cost investors billions of dollars when the share prices of affected companies collapsed, shook public confidence in the nation's securities markets was meet by legislators with The Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX) Act of 2002, a bonanza for parasitic bureaucracies and an anchor on corporate America.

Not to mention the recently enacted Dodd-Frank financial reform mandating greater transparency, accountability and oversight of the mortgage industry President  Obama called a "common sense" package.  Another bonanza for parasitic bureaucracies and another blow to corporate America

Most regulations, including SOX, Frank-Dodd and this one may be well intentioned.  The problem is that most regulations, including this one, often act like bad aids without tackling the root cause of the problem, and why we continue to argue that we need to stop electing lawmakers and start electing problem solvers and why the 90-20-0 Pledge is important.

The root cause of misconduct in this case is organizational culture promoted by the symbiotic relationship between politicians, unions, lobbyist and bureaucracies.

Organizational culture is a code of conduct, often unwritten that binds the organization ( read teachers union) into a discernible fabric. The most productive corporate culture is the one that supports the brand, often, mostly due to the leadership in place, subculture develop that can enhance and or detract from the brand.

Culture is passed down from generation through generation through folk tales and traditions. Observable symbols and signs of an organization's culture include organizational stories and legends, rituals and ceremonies, language, physical structures and symbols."

Try firing a teacher for poor performance, and guess how much treasure it takes, including time? In a good number of cases, the teacher in question, may simply retire after years of litigation, with full benefits and a clean bill of health.

Take the on- going sex abuse debacle with the LAUSD - the teacher's union reaction? “It is the administration's fault for not monitoring the teacher” . Despicable!

The response by lawmakers to the LAUSD sex abuse case is an excellent argument to: We do not need lawmakers, we need problem solvers instead.  We need to: Dismantle the Pendle Panhandle Bundle:

The symbiotic relationship between politicians, unions, lobbyist and parasitic bureaucracies ...

Johnson, 28, Tustin, was found guilty by a jury March 9, 2012, of one felony count of rape of an intoxicated woman and faces a maximum sentence of eight years in state prison and mandatory lifetime sex offender registration at his sentencing April  20, 2012, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s office.

Sometime between 10:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. on Nov. 25, 2010, Johnson talked with 47-year-old Jane Doe, whom he met for the first time that night at Godfather's bar in Tustin. The victim was in Orange County from Australia visiting family and was visibly intoxicated, including displaying unsteady balance and difficulty walking without assistance.

At midnight on Nov. 26, 2010, Johnson took the unsteady victim outside to his parked sport utility vehicle (SUV) and raped her while she was unable to resist due to intoxication.

After the rape, Johnson got out of the vehicle. The defendant and two of his friends lifted partially-clothed Jane Doe from the car by holding her arms and feet in the air and carried her into the alley on the side of the bar. They dumped her body on an old, dirty mattress and fled the scene. A witness who observed the victim being carried called 911 and provided the license plate number from the defendant's SUV.

Officers from the Tustin Police Department responded to the scene and located Jane Doe in the alley on the mattress. She was unresponsive, incoherent, and unable to stand without assistance due to alcohol intoxication.

Johnson was arrested later that day based on the license plate number provided by the witness.

Johnson's lifetime registration as a sex offender will bar him from entering County recreational areas and City parks which have passed the Sex Offender Ordinance.

Selective Religiosity

The Gospel according the Radcial Left, Obama, Pelosi, Boxer, Fluke and feminist Steimen's

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - President Obama unwisely apologized for the inadvertent. burning of defaced Qurans.  When the Holy  Quran is defaced, it is to be destroyed.

The President failed to recognize HE was being manipulated by the mullahs, more interested in reining in their subject. The message the President sent, as seen by  the mullahs is that  America bowed to Islam, as evidenced by the President’s actions.

The President failed to mention the 2006 fatwa issued by Saudi clerics who after the first Iraq election instructed Sunni's to blow up Shia mosques beginning with the beautiful al-Askari " Golden Mosque of Samarra" Shia mosque. The Wahabbi terrorists weren't worried about defacing holy places then.

Then the President called Ms Fluke to provide moral support for her most immoral stance, and even held Ms. Fluke as a model he would be proud  if his daughters emulate her, but refused to condemn his supporter, donor and far left political comedian Bill Mahar,  for his despicable language used against Gov. Palin.

Mum seems to be the word as Speaker Pelosi’s daughter and Bill Maher mock Southerners characterizing them as dumb and poor.  Strike that, the President thinks that roughly  69% -72% of Americans are stupid:

In the President's own words in response to a CBS reporter’s question about why 69% of Americans oppose raising the debt ceiling:

“Let me distinguish between professional politicians and the public at large. You know, the public is not paying close attention to the ins and outs of how a Treasury auction goes. They shouldn’t. They’re worrying about their family, they’re worrying about their jobs. They’re worrying about their neighborhood. They have got a lot of other things on their plate. We’re paid to worry about it.”

Or consider the President’s response to the latest Gallup showing that  72% of All Americans and 56% of Democrats Say Obamacare Mandate is Unconstitutional:  Hold a vigil at the White House and deploy the DOJ and Health and Human Services to ram it through, as Speaker Pelosi did in Congress.

Translation: 69% -72% of the people are too stupid and need me to tell them what to say, do and think.

Now, while Newt Gingrich  slams Newt slams ABC newshow for 'anti-Christian bigotry'  - called "GCB," which is based on the novel "Good Christian Bitches," mum is the word from the White House

Irish Poet  James Joyce described Christianity as " here come everybody," whereas the Gospel according to feminist Gloria Steinem, Pelosi, Obama, boxer et all seems to be "on the left, the energy sinkers, on the right, the energy generators, on the right Christianity, on the left anything but Christianity"

The Gospel according to the radical left, including Pelosi, Boxer, Fluke and feminist Steimen's is  slippery slope that values  hedonism, materialism and inanimate objects, over human life,  because they view God as  male chauvinist, Heroines of the Torah, such as Ruth and Esther, notwithstanding  for example- " Reproductive freedom, like free speech and freedom of assembly is    a fundamental human right — not for a male God to be in control of women"   Gloria Steinem - in other words, forget the rights endowed by the Creator, because he is male, after all.

The seasoned Pumas coaching staff switched to a three-quarter trapping defense causing trouble for the Hawks who turned the ball over 4 consecutive times allowing the Pumas back in the game. Veteran coaches Reed and Montes quickly spaced the floor allowing the taller Hawks guards to find Action Jackson over the top for several layups to build back the lead to 7 points with 1:20 to go in the game. The bus loads of Puma Fans remained on their feet encouraging the veteran Pumas who quickly trimmed the lead to 5 with 22 seconds left. The Pumas were forced to foul the Hawks hoping for misses and hoping to extend the game. Their wishes were granted as the Hawks missed 2 consecutive front ends of 1 and 1s,  which were quickly converted to layups on the other end to cut the lead to one with 8 seconds left. The Hawks quickly inbounded the ball to be fouled with 7 seconds left on the clock. Hawk guards AC, Jonesy, and Swartzenegger were too much for the under sized Triton guards as they continued to unselfishly find each other for converted 3 point shots. Selective misogynist reasoning: boycott AOL, Carbonate, Citrix, Go To Meeting, Legal Zoom, ProFlowers, Quicken Loans, Sleep Number, Sleep Train And demand lawmakers take a stand

Posted By CotoBogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - Name calling is never a good idea when trying to deliver a persuasive argument.  On the other hand, name calling is an excellent rhetorical device when trying to manipulate.

Keep in mind that the mostly left Wing and Hyphenated media is well versed in using weapons of mass disinformation  (WMD) to manipulate the electorate, including the use of the race card  -  remember the All Red- Whitman Debacle? - and why Obama has a good chance at a second term

Terms like demons, and "those who do not agree with Obama are idiots" as the recent Newsweekly article might say, are examples of rhetorical devices arming the WMD.  Not to mention Bill Maher’s misogynists view of conservative woman.

When selective aesthetic reasoning is like selective misogynist reasoning

Now, consider that in this  week’s  press conference, the President implied that he provided moral support to Ms. Fluke for her  immoral stance against  freedom of religion, because if his daughters emulate Ms. Fluke, he may be fine, or even proud.

Despite Mr. Rush Limbaugh's apology to Ms. Fluke, despite  Limbaugh's brief apology to Ms Fluke posted on his website, yesterday, Texas congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and Illinois Senator Jan Schakowsky were quick to condemn Rush Limbaugh‘s remarks about Sandra Fluke, but when  asked why they have not similarly denounced Bill Maher‘s remarks about Sarah Palin, they refused   to comment.

The President's response was even more appalling, as he claimed  that he cannot get involved in all misogynist activity, taking flak for  his silence on vile misogynist and liberal Obama supporter Bill Maher by a group of conservative women.

We see the world as we are, not as it is

Following the radical Left's selective misogynist views, some advertisers  that  pulled out  their support of the Limbaugh show include:  AOL, Carbonate, Citrix, Go To Meeting, Legal Zoom, ProFlowers, Quicken Loans, Sleep Number and Sleep Train.  But thisSelective misogynist reasoning is already having consequences:  As Carbonite pulled its ads from Rush Limbaugh,  the stock got hammered.  Which is next?

Clearly the Fluke Debacle is not about contraceptives and or a woman's right to choose; it is about freedom of religion.  And while name calling as previously stated is not the answer, if you want to have a fair and balanced debate on the subject, we suggest that you not only boycott  AOL, Carbonate, Citrix, Go To Meeting, Legal Zoom, ProFlowers, Quicken Loans, Sleep Number and Sleep Train, but also demand these companies major shareholders and all women lawmakers to take a stand on misogyny – it either is or it is not!

Why on earth anyone is still using AOL defines logic.

As for Carbonite users, there are many other viable alternatives, such as MemoPal

There are also viable alternatives for Citrix, Go To Meeting and others

As for lawmakers, we suggest you get started with the ones who voted  against the  Blunt amendment - voted  against religious liberty, in the US Senate largely on party lines.

So-called Catholics voting against the amendment were

Mark Begich (D-Alaska)

Maria Cantwell (D-Washington)

Richard Durbin (D-Illinois)

Kirsten Gillibrand (D-New York)

Tom Harkin (D-Iowa)

John Kerry (D-Massachusetts)

Mary Landrieu (D-Louisiana)

Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont)

Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri)

Bob Menendez (D-New Jersey)

Barbara Mikulski (D-Maryland)

Patty Murray (D-Washington)

and Jack Reed (D-Rhode Island)..
