Leavenworth, WA - The 19th International
Icicle Creek Chamber Music Festival kicks off in grand style with its Opening Night Gala
Concert Sunday, July 8th, 8PM
Canyon Wren Recital Hall
7409 Icicle Road, Leavenworth
Chamber music is written for a small
group of instruments and includes any art music that is performed by a small
number of performers with one performer to a part. The word chamber implies that the music can be performed in a small room,
often in a private salon with an intimate atmosphere.
Imagine a conversation with pianist
Christina Dahl, Winner of USIA Cultural Ambassador's Competition both as a
recitalist and a collaborative pianist, having appeared at Carnegie Hall and
the National Gallery in Washington DC and on the faculty at SUNY, Stony Brook.
Artists will share their specially selected musical
offering along with personal remarks - an intimate and magical experience.
Complimentary appetizer buffet will be offered beforehand, and guests are
invited to stay and mingle with the artists after the concert in the lovely outdoor
reception tent.
