Misinformation, News Literacy Program Funds Fellowships. Zuckerberg Apologizes, Sentiment Manipulation

As the NYT might  say:  #NYT #WordOfTheDay: #Curtailment
There's no curtailment of propagation of misinformation by Legacy and Social Media Organizations

News Literacy Program Funds Five  Fellowships. Education or Indoctrination? And Zuckerberg Apologizes.  But is that it? What about Sentiment Manipulation?  Where Sentiment analysis is the interpretation and classification of emotions (positive, negative, and neutral) within text data using text analysis techniques. Sentiment analysis allows businesses to identify customer sentiment toward products, brands, or services in online conversations and feedback.

According to a News Literacy Project press release, nine school districts, including five in California, are the latest to receive a News Literacy District Fellowship to design news and media literacy programs at their school.

The two-year fellowship comes with a $20,000 grant and support for professional development and curriculum guidance from the News Literacy Project.

Begs the question? What exactly did these 5 districts do to earn fellowships to design media literacy programs?

After all, Johnny can't read, cant write and if he reads the NYT, the US Constitution is a useless piece of paper. And in terms of academic performance, California is in a race to the bottom, more rapid than the states high speed rail system rapidly going nowhere.

Charles Salter, president of the News Literacy Project justifies the 'investment' saying: “Students are at a significant civic disadvantage if they are not taught how to navigate our current information landscape,”

NYT doesn't even hide it anymore. 'Reports' "700 national security officers and military officials endorsed Harris." Fawns over Taylor Swift. Goes gaga over Lady Gaga. Lamely over Timmy's "average" Joe fashion. Nutty as a fruit cake over Kamala's tan suit. Goes amazeball over the first 'Black' nominee. Doesn't say if Amara is Indian or Black. Now is awed at Kamala's Navy Blue suit.
But First NYT reported Joe Biden was in top shape..Said the economy was up. Then they send him out to pasture. Now they call him a hero. They mock JD Vance as inexperienced & weird. Says Kamala will fix the economy.

Now that three former democrats in DJT, JFK Jr & Elon Musk have joined forces,NYT says RINOs put Harris over the last Waltz

The NYT mocks former President Donald Trump's release of a $100 000 watch, after it peddled the "Goldilocks of mechanical pencils."

Certainly the watch had a bigger market than NYT's dinosaur "Goldilocks of mechanical pencils."After all, Johnny can't read or write. She can text using hyrogliphics, aka emoji - cursive being a foreign concept..https://nyti.ms3ZsknLK

Then, there's  the Fast Company? Reports 3M executives reveal why more jobs are becoming green

But it's not about green jobs.

It's about the Climate Change Billionaires Bliss, the Global Warming Hypocrisy & the Recycle Hoax:

Have you seen how the NYT Fawns over Taylor Swift, despite her exponentially growing carbon footprint?

The
Smithsonian  Christian Thorsberg
Reports on the Pareto Rule of  Global Warming: 80 % of Global CO2 Emissions Come From Just 57 Companies - The world’s number one source of carbon emissions is #China, accounting for 25.79

Since the Paris Agreement was signed, 58 of the top 100 carbon-producing companies have increased their production.

Yet Millions of vacant jobs because of 'harebrained' decisions and college push.

As of July 2024, the American economy had 7.7 million job openings. This is up from less than 5 million a decade ago.

And its not just far left NYT. NPR is not too far behind.

NPR 'reports' "Voting-tech company settles with right-wing network over false election claims." But far Left Legacy & Social Media Face No Consequences For Meddling in elections promotion Election Integrity Hoax

And The Sacramento Bee's Journalism Malpractice:

Exhibit A: Journalism malpractice

'Modern Day Slavery:" - California's Proposition 6, which would end involuntary servitude in jails and prison.

Not a bad idea if prisoners pay the total cost of incarceration, including debt to society, room and board and so on.

What about Fox 13 Seattle 'reporting' Washington Drivers are best-behaved - NOT! This is Exhibit A: Trust the science, not the researchers.

To be clear, it's not just drivers: it's Washington State's bureaucratic Arrogant Incompetence pushing the Inequity of the Pursuit of Equity Over Public Safety.

Not much different from KTLA 5 News financial 'reporting:'

Fake News.
Consider High-income earning Joe is currently living paycheck to paycheck
Average Joe Went From the Great Resignation to jobless in two years
Poor Joe can't afford food, much less medication
Home mortgage debt, currently at $12.3 trillion!
And credit card debt , currently at $1.2 Trillion

Civics Education
FBI Director Christopher Wray says that Civics Education is a national security imperative.

Most high school students are not prepared for college. According to Sarah Butrymowicz, The Hechinger Report: “Most schools place students in what are called remedial courses in math or English before they can move on to a full load of college-level, credit-bearing courses – a process that is a financial drain on not only students, but also colleges and taxpayers, costing up to an estimated $7 billion a year.

Instead colleges and universities do the job high schools are supposed to do. A viable option for these students is trade school. Trade schools have a more streamlined approach to learning providing students with a specialized skill set rather than focusing on general education that students care little about Trade school training takes less time to complete, require little critical thinking and communication skills, it is usually hands-on and a lot more cost effective.

The reason most of these students do not choose trade schools is mostly due to parents, usually highly educated ones, as the Atlantic’s Meg St-Esprit writes

When college is held up as the one true path to success, parents—especially highly educated ones—might worry when their children opt for vocational school instead

Does Salter realize that civics education was replaced by ethnic studies, a movement that has been fueling the DEI Industrial
Complex?

Ironically, the News Literacy Project website features a piece by Pulitzer Prize Winner for Fake News The Washington Post on misinformation: "The Washington Post’s Tech Brief newsletter dove into a new report that studies how TikTok users navigate misinformation on the social platform. Hannah Covington, Senior Director of Education Content at the News Literacy Project, provided analysis about why some of the findings are worrisome."

Now tell the Joes what they can get for the extra million they have laying around.

Yet it's not just WaPo or NYT.
NYT 'reporting' on misinformation, is like Zuckerberg denying he meddled in elections,

Like the NYT gladly accepting a Pulitzer Prize for Fake, which is

Like Stanford University's president Tessier-Lavigne denying he altered images and other research misconduct., which is like Stanford's University (infamous for its two projects with the federal government to help Big Tech platforms censor what they collectively perceived to be false or misleading information.

By the way, Stanford’s settlement with Justice Department shows how deep China has its claws in our universities
CNN's 'prominent conservative legal scholar' Judge J. Michael Luttig.

Is like Government Intelligence, which is like. Government Fast Response which is like Congressional Ethics Committe. An Oxymoron!

Journalism is not only a dying profession, but most on-demand jobs in the next decade don't
require a college degree

ABC News criticized
Washington parental rights law as a 'forced outing' Because as Jay Inslee says, children belong to the state

Now ABC7 fawns as Newsom also declares children belong to the state.

The New York Times not only "earned" a Pulitzer for Fake News, but now engages in Sentiment Manipulation in Social Media

NYT Sentiment Manipulation:Guess which post the NYT won't allow.
Sentiment analysis is the interpretation and classification of emotions (positive, negative, and neutral) within text data using text analysis techniques. Sentiment analysis allows businesses to identify customer sentiment toward products, brands, or services in online conversations and feedback. So guess what MSM and Social Media platforms regularly do?  Scrub critical comments and only leave the favorable ones.

.

And Gavin Newsom and lawmakers think students are so stupid, they can't figure out which courses to take to transfer to the California University System, what exactly are these fellowship programs going to design?
