Coto de Caza's Version of Deal or No Diehl
Coto de Caza's Version of Deal or No Diehl
March 26, 2008
According to LA Times' David Haldane, California in Brief, in the Orange County section of the LA Times published March 19, 2009, "FBI agents took Reed Kyle Diehl, 29, of Cota de Caza into custody on federal charges of wire fraud in connection with an alleged offer to secure a line of credit for an unnamed out-of-state developer"
According to a complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana, Diehl persuaded an alleged victim to deposit $2.5 million to be used as collateral for a promised line of credit
The DOJ Press Release describes Diehl as a former Tennessee Titan but according to the KNBC Los Angeles version of the story, he was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2001 and released before the season started. Diehl played football at University of California and is currently a high school football coach in Santa Ana.
