The Shea Theraputic Riding Center in San Juan Capistrano

It has one of the best equestrian centers in the world....but did you know that only a few miles from Coto there is also another equestrian facility that gives kids with severe disabilities the chance to ride and participate in the horseback riding experience that they might otherwise not be physically or cognitively able to enjoy.

This wonderful center is called the Shea Theraputic Riding center and is located only a few miles away in San Juan Capistrano. It specializes in what they call "Hippo therapy" which means horse therapy for disabled children and adults. This type of therapy is absolutely amazing for what it does for a persons physical, mental and emotional  health and well being.

The center accepts donations to help subsidize for the caring of over 25 horses and to provide financial help and assistance for children and families who can't afford the small fees they charge for the experience and thera
