Watchtower Delivery-System Check ERCP family — standalone pipe map

Map the drip. Do not club the filing.

Version 1.0 · 9 September 2026

Companion to Watchtower Working Standard 1.1 (Layer C)

Not a substitute for AIS / PAS / What’s missing

This is not a news-routing rubric. It does not award 90–70–0 bands. Those bands score a text. A drip is not a text.

Use WWS 1.1 for an article, a card, or a beat.

Use this check when at least one pipe is not journalism: a feed loop, a required module, a franchise line, a semester, a matching swarm across industries.

The letters are ERCP (Extended Release Culture Pill). ECRP is a search typo.

1. Purpose

Score how a frame is delivered, not whether an event happened.

The family claim is simple: some norms are taught as weather — low-dose, long duration, many pipes — until a later card feels like confirmation instead of news. This check asks which pipes are open and whether they are doing unpaid moral work.

It refuses:

“ERCP detected” as a masthead banner

staining a primary record with a portrait

partisan scoring

running this check instead of WWS on a single lockup

2. When to open this document

Start in WWS 1.1. Open this page only if one of the following is true:

WWS Layer C already returned Dose or Course, and the coat is arriving from outside the outlet (feed, HR, classroom, franchise, other networks).

The object is not an article: a required training, a recommendation loop, a lesson plan, a pop-culture drop.

The same line shows up in two or more industries in the same window.

If Layer C is None or Coat on a news beat, stay in 1.1. Do not promote a profile series into a civilization theory.

3. Four pipes

Score each pipe Closed / Open / Dominant.

Dominant means that pipe can carry the frame even if the others go silent.

Tier

Pipe

What it looks like

Ask

ERCP

Passive prestige drip

Months of background framing in legacy media, sitcoms, textbooks. Controversial in year one; weather by year five.

Is a norm being taught as common sense without a decree?

SERCT

Smart feed tablet

For-you / Reels / Shorts. Dwell, pause, replay tighten the next card.

Does the next object get denser after a linger?

AERCT

Compliance sensor

Required quiz, module, click-through, graded script. Keep the job or the credit only if you perform the answer.

Must they demonstrate the frame?

MERC

Multimodal swarm

Same line in a song, lesson, ad, show, merch drop.

Does the frame arrive from several industries at once?

ERCP is the old coat.

SERCT is the card that travels.

AERCT is the test.

MERC is the surround.

A news lockup, by itself, is usually SERCT sitting on a thin ERCP coat. That is WWS Layer C. It is not automatically MERC.

4. Run gate

Do not score pipes for sport. Need two of five:

ID

Trigger

D1

The same protagonist, class, or moral polarity recurs across more than one kind of pipe (not just more than one article).

D2

A later object works if the new facts are stripped (portrait + verb + old nickname are enough).

D3

Someone must perform the frame to keep status (quiz, pledge, module, approved comment).

D4

A recommendation loop visibly tightens after engagement with the frame.

D5

The same sentence or image grammar appears in two industries in one window.

Fewer than two: write Pipes not in season and return to WWS.

5. How to score a pipe

For each open pipe write four lines. No points.

Object — URL, title, date, or module name.

Active ingredient — the frame being released (one clause).

Duration — one shot / days / months / years.

Test — what would falsify “this pipe is teaching that frame”? If you cannot name a falsifier, you have a hunch. Hunches stay off the map.

Then mark the pipe Closed, Open, or Dominant.

6. Output (pipe map, not a grade)

Print only this block:

DELIVERY-SYSTEM CHECK

Object:

Run gate D1–D5:

ERCP:  Closed / Open / Dominant — duration — falsifier

SERCT: Closed / Open / Dominant — duration — falsifier

AERCT: Closed / Open / Dominant — duration — falsifier

MERC:  Closed / Open / Dominant — duration — falsifier

Coat sentence (one line):

WWS pointer: AIS __ / What’s missing / BCS __

Route:

No composite score. No Blue Book band. No public “pill” sticker.

Public language, if any, remains WWS: What’s missing plus a dropped number or dropped official sentence.

7. Relation to WWS 1.1

Clock

Tool

This article

AIS

This wrap

PAS + What’s missing

This beat (same outlet, days–months)

Layer C: None / Coat / Dose / Course

Pipes beyond the outlet

This check

Pointer from 1.1:

Full drip taxonomy lives here. Layer C only scores beat continuity inside journalism. Do not run this map on a filing.

Pointer back from this check:

If the object is a card or an article, finish WWS routing first. Forms before weather.

8. Worked pointer — NYT Harp lockup (9 Sept 2026)

This object is not a full standalone run. It is the example of when to stay mostly in 1.1.

WWS 1.1 (already scored):

AIS 70 / What’s missing (card) / BCS: Dose on lockup, Coat on article, None on forms

This check:

D1 N as multi-industry (Times beat + feed copies of the Times card is still journalism + SERCT, not lesson + song + HR).

D2 Y on the card.

D3 N (no quiz).

D4 possible on the feed, not proven from the artifact.

D5 N unless a matching non-news drop is shown.

Gate: borderline / closed for MERC.

SERCT: Open (the card).

ERCP: Open-thin (August Harp file as coat).

AERCT: Closed.

MERC: Closed until a second industry is named.

Coat sentence: The paper already taught Harp as ever-present gatekeeper; the gift card doses a known face.

Route: Stay in WWS. Open the PDFs. Do not promote this Thursday into a delivery-system event.

That is the discipline. A famous photo is not four pipes.

9. What would justify a full run (contrast)

A full Delivery-System Check is for objects like:

a required workplace module that quizzes the same polarity the feed is serving

a curriculum unit that repeats a franchise’s moral line

a week when lesson, ad, and prime-time use the same sentence

Then map all four pipes, write four falsifiers, and still do not stamp the underlying facts. The facts remain WWS’s job.

10. Refusals

Do not average pipes into AIS.

Do not call card-only readers functionally illiterate on the sticker.

Do not treat “we already know who she is” as proof the new filing is fake.

Do not use this page to say “big deal” back. If they shrug, What’s missing carries the number and the missing sentence. This page is not for them.

11. One-page scoresheet

Object / date / pipes in play:

Why this page and not WWS only:

D1–D5 (Y/N). Gate open?

ERCP / SERCT / AERCT / MERC: Closed · Open · Dominant

Falsifier per open pipe:

Coat sentence:

WWS printout (if any news object exists):

Route (what to open next that is not a wrap):

12. Family position

Generalized Media Watchtower — archive bar

WWS 1.0 / 1.1 — daily routing of journalism

Tabloid four-indicator — pathos method on a package

Delivery-System Check — pipes beyond the package

Scientific Watchtower — lab’s right to be wrong

Core commitments unchanged: no partisan scoring, no credit for emotional sincerity, no treating institutional consensus as evidence, no archiving a closed loop as a record.
