Second 2012 Presidential Debate Summary- OBAMA WINS!

Posted by CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA -   Obama wins debate, according to the mostly far left  media:  ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN.  Heck, even FOX's Bill O'Reilly used the " yes we have no bananas argument”  to call it  for President Obama saying the President helped himself during the debate, while Governor Romney did not hurt himself, according to O'Reilly.

Now, in high school and college, debate teams study and practice different forms of communication and discussion, including persuasion, informative speaking, rhetorical criticism and academic speaking. Debate teams are graded on how clear they communicate and the strength of their arguments.

Unless I was watching a different debate, I saw the President's performance, mostly as a poor imitation of Joe Biden, meaning a collection of vacuous and or misleading statements.

While the President did use rhetorical techniques, these were effective in attempts to manipulate, not persuade.  While I concede that from the mostly radical left's and even O'Reilly’s perspective,  the President may have scored points, these came mostly from the use of weapons of mass disinformation, with a little Candy on the side.  Meaning that those who thought points were scored are probably in the President’s 69% category – see below.

As to O'Reilly's obfuscation, he seems to be more concerned to appeal to the dependent, the apathetic or dependent voter, Governor Romney might refer to as the 47%  while the President has said the percentage is much higher,  69%:

Obama’s response to a CBS reporter’s question about why 69% of Americans opposed raising the debt ceiling:

“Let me distinguish between professional politicians and the public at large. You know, the public is not paying close attention to the ins and outs of how a Treasury auction goes. They shouldn’t. They’re worrying about their family, they’re worrying about their jobs. They’re worrying about their neighborhood. They have got a lot of other things on their plate. We’re paid to worry about it.”

Translation: “Americans are too stupid to know any better

Why is it the President's  69% remark did not get any traction, but Governor Romney's 47% remark did?

Now, take this poll:

Poll - which is either a blatant lie or an indication of gross ignorance, and which one has caught the Media's attention calling it a gaffe?

1. Gas prices were low because the economy was so bad

2. From day one I said it was a terrorist attack

3. A binder full of women

4.  Oil and gas exploration in the USA at an all time high because of my policies.

5.  Planned Parenthood does mammograms

Leno, Fallon, Letterman, the Pimp with a Limp and the usual suspects do not want you to see this video

Posted By CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - on 9-11/2012 we thought it was self-evident the massacre in Benghazi and the attacks on the American Embassy in Cairo were terrorists attacks.  Governor Romney immediately denounced the attacks, only to be attacked by the NBC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Leno, Fallon, Letterman and the Pimp with a Limp as simply a political opportunist.  Instead, the White House and Harlots mounted an Apology Offense that lasted for days culminating in the administration last week purchasing air time in Pakistani television featuring the President and Hilary Clinton, Secretary for Apologizing, to  apologize for the video.

White House and the usual suspects afflicted by the Flip Wilson Syndrome

In fact, NBC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Leno, Fallon, Letterman, the Pimp with a Limp and the White House seemed to have been afflicted by the Flip Wilson Syndrome, until finally just a couple of days ago the White House admitted it was not the video, but terror, responsible for the Arab Winter of Discontent that ended up killing Ambassador Chris Stevens.  Difficult to blame the White House and Harlots -after all, the President lectured the nation about not jumping to conclusion and still calls the Ft. Hood Massacre by Soldier of Allah Major Nidal Hasan a workplace violence, refuses to acknowledge there is a war on terror, but continually denounces its opposition's WOW - War on Women.

Worse, while denouncing Mr. Romney for refusing to apologize for the terror attacks in Cairo and Benghazi, the President decided to turn his focus to fundraising by going to Las Vegas, meeting with Letterman and the Pimp with a Limp, while refusing to meet with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  Need we remind you of the President's teachable moment when he jumped to conclusions and denounced the Boston Police department  over the arrest of Harvard University Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr, on July 16, 2009?  What about the President personally calling Media Darling Life-Long Student Hedonistic Sandra Fluke over Limbaugh's comments, but remaining mum over despicable insults by Letterman, Fallon and or BillMaher?

Looking at what has transpired over the last two weeks, reasonable individuals would have to agree that while the economy continues to be the dominant issue, the Middle East Winter of Discontent is an illustration of the administration's failed policies, yet, this is what the White House Harlots are feeding the masses:

Are you kidding me? This is what us being fed to the masses and completely ignores the White House despicable foreign policy failure over the same period of time: http://news.yahoo.com/mitt-romney-finally-campaign-reset-hes-looking-141612335--abc-news-politics.html

OCSD Gets $100K grant to fight Alcohol-related Crime

Posted by CotoBlogzz

Rancho Santa Margarita, California – The Orange County Sheriff’s Department OCSD) today announced it  has been  awarded a $100,000 grant from the California Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) to battle alcohol-related crime.

According to Sheriff Sandra Hutchens “the Sheriff’s Department will use the grant funding to expand our specialized task forces to target crimes related to the sale of alcohol, over-intoxication and narcotics related problems through the use of multiple enforcement and education strategies,”

For example, just last Friday, September 14, Sheriff’s deputies and ABC agents conducted a “Minor Decoy” operation at licensed establishments in unincorporated South Orange County, Lake Forest, Rancho Santa Margarita, Mission Viejo, Trabuco Canyon and Ladera Ranch. The businesses included liquor stores, convenience stores, bars and restaurants. The operation uses individuals, who are under the age of 20, to attempt to purchase alcoholic beverages. If the minor decoy is able to purchase alcohol, the business is issued a criminal citation and may also face administrative disciplinary action.

While the OCSD reported  100% compliance from the establishments visited during the “Minor Decoy” operation last week and that all businesses visited requested to see identification and denied sale to the minors, one subject was issued a citation after observing the decoy was denied alcohol and subsequently offered and purchased alcohol for the decoy. The subject was cited and released for the violation.

This grant is one of 58 awarded in California that will assist more than 80 law enforcement agencies through ABC’s Grant Assistance Program (GAP).
“The program improves the quality of life in neighborhoods,” said ABC Director Jacob Appelsmith. “We’ve seen a real difference in the communities where the grant program resources have been invested.”

The GAP Program was created in 1995 to strengthen partnerships between ABC and local law enforcement agencies. The program is designed to put bad operators out of business, keep alcohol away from minors and bring penalties such as fines, suspensions or revocations against businesses that violate the law. The GAP Program has distributed over $20 million to local law enforcement to combat alcohol-related crime. ABC is a Department of the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency.

While we applaud ABC and the OCSD’s efforts, use of these funds is reactive, as opposed to sending the funds directly to the target communities.  A summary of our research over the last ten years can be found here, including other recommendations.

Obama Does not Know His Defense Budget

By Chriss W. Street

President Obama had good success at getting media coverage for using the term “Romney Hood” to slur Mitt Romney as an irresponsible and out-of-touch corporate elitist.  The President’s strategy has been to constantly be on the attack to undermine the perceived

management skills of his Republican rival and deflect criticism of his Administration’s massive deficit spending and poor economic performance.  But in the President’s off-the-cuff comments during the same speech he disastrously under-estimated by over three hundred billion dollars his Administration’s total defense spending.  The video of this undisciplined blunder will soon go viral and be plastered on the media to paint President Barack Obama as an irresponsible and out-of-touch political spendthrift.

Four years ago, Barack Obama as a candidate was remarkably disciplined at not straying from the prepared statements on his teleprompter.  His only major gaff was a recording of remarks ridiculing his opposition at an April private event in San Francisco:

“It’s not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

As a fire-storm started to swirl, Obama quickly apologized by saying, “Obviously, if I worded things in a way that made people offended, I deeply regret that.”  He then employed his lawyer skills to rephrase the statement, “But the underlying truth of what I said remains, which is simply that people who have seen their way of life upended because of economic distress are frustrated and rightfully so.”

As an unknown outsider with only a limited voting record in the United States Senate, Obama was able to campaign as a fiscal conservative against John McCain who blurted: “The issue of economics is not something I’ve understood as well as I should.”  After being elected, Obama made a promise to the American people at his Fiscal Responsibility Summit: “Today I am pledging to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office.”

With the President now in his fourth year in office and the nation’s deficit remaining at approximately the $1.3 trillion level, President Obama and his allied Super PACs poured $91 million into eight swing states in an early spending barrage intended to make Romney’sassociation with Bain Capital a reason to disqualify him as an acceptable challenger for the job of President.  But for all that effort, the poll numbers didn’t move much.  The ABC News/Washington Post and USA Today/Gallup polls show the race deadlocked at 47% and the Rasmussen poll shows Romney ahead.

That is why it seemed strange that the Obama campaign, that has been hemorrhaging cash in an unsuccessfully attack on the American private sector, would want to crank up the rhetoric to attack his challenger for not wanting to raise taxes on the private sector by another $5 trillion over the next ten years.  But at a fundraiser in Connecticut, President Obama delivered his scripted critique of his Republican rival’s tax plan:

He’d ask the middle class to pay more in taxes so that he could give another $250,000 tax cut to people making more than $3 million a year. It’s like Robin Hood in reverse,” Obama said. “It’s Romney Hood.”

The term, which drew the loudest applause and triggered a flood of buzz online, was coined not by Obama or his speechwriters, but by a team of Democratic strategists at Priorities USA Action, a Super PAC which floated the concept last week.

But In an unscripted remark trying to compare the $500 billion a year tax increase to the equivalent of the annual United States defense budget, Obama proclaimed:
Just to give you a prospective here, our entire defense budget is about     $500, it’s over $500 billion, but it is less than $600.”

Actually, the “entire defense budget” spending according to the independentusgovernmentspending.com website was $730 billion when Barack Obama was firstinaugurated as President.  The “entire defense budget” has grown in each of the last four fiscal years and is conservatively estimated to be $900 billion in 2012 and in 2013.

Given that the President is the Commander and Chief of the military and defense is the largest single category of spending in the entire federal budget at 24%; President Obama is sure to get slammed by tens of millions of liberals, conservatives and independents who all have visceral opinions about the size and merits of the defense budget.  Barack Obama promised hope and change as an outsider when he ran for President.  Now that he is President, voters expect him responsible with their money.
