Second 2012 Presidential Debate Summary- OBAMA WINS!

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA -   Obama wins debate, according to the mostly far left  media:  ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN.  Heck, even FOX's Bill O'Reilly used the " yes we have no bananas argument”  to call it  for President Obama saying the President helped himself during the debate, while Governor Romney did not hurt himself, according to O'Reilly.

Now, in high school and college, debate teams study and practice different forms of communication and discussion, including persuasion, informative speaking, rhetorical criticism and academic speaking. Debate teams are graded on how clear they communicate and the strength of their arguments.

Unless I was watching a different debate, I saw the President's performance, mostly as a poor imitation of Joe Biden, meaning a collection of vacuous and or misleading statements.

While the President did use rhetorical techniques, these were effective in attempts to manipulate, not persuade.  While I concede that from the mostly radical left's and even O'Reilly’s perspective,  the President may have scored points, these came mostly from the use of weapons of mass disinformation, with a little Candy on the side.  Meaning that those who thought points were scored are probably in the President’s 69% category – see below.

As to O'Reilly's obfuscation, he seems to be more concerned to appeal to the dependent, the apathetic or dependent voter, Governor Romney might refer to as the 47%  while the President has said the percentage is much higher,  69%:

Obama’s response to a CBS reporter’s question about why 69% of Americans opposed raising the debt ceiling:

“Let me distinguish between professional politicians and the public at large. You know, the public is not paying close attention to the ins and outs of how a Treasury auction goes. They shouldn’t. They’re worrying about their family, they’re worrying about their jobs. They’re worrying about their neighborhood. They have got a lot of other things on their plate. We’re paid to worry about it.”

Translation: “Americans are too stupid to know any better

Why is it the President's  69% remark did not get any traction, but Governor Romney's 47% remark did?

Now, take this poll:

Poll - which is either a blatant lie or an indication of gross ignorance, and which one has caught the Media's attention calling it a gaffe?

1. Gas prices were low because the economy was so bad

2. From day one I said it was a terrorist attack

3. A binder full of women

4.  Oil and gas exploration in the USA at an all time high because of my policies.

5.  Planned Parenthood does mammograms

QED!
