According do the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, nearly 200 Explorer Scouts from Orange and Los Angeles Counties will be getting a taste of police work this week, with demonstrations by SWAT, a K-9 unit and a Helicopter Unit.  The Explorers will learn to handle situations under stressful conditions.  They are also challenged physically with running, push-ups and other activities.   The Explorers will also attend classes, including Driving Under the Influence, Traffic Accident Investigations, Gang Investigations, Criminal Law, Ethics and other Law Enforcement classes.

The program is sponsored by the Orange County Law Enforcement Explorer Advisor Association (OCLEEAA).
