Hurry Up Before the Natives Find What Is In It: Vote NO on Laguna Woods Village’s Revised By-Laws & Occupancy Agreement

LETTERS

Greetings Patriots!

We have some very important information to share with all of you concerning United's (the co-ops) newly revised By-Laws and Occupancy Agreement.

These documents were mailed out to each United resident owner on August 1st.  You will have thirty days to read, comprehend and vote to accept or reject the proposed changes.

We are strongly urging that you oppose the revised By-Laws andOccupancy Agreement  by casting a NO VOTE!

United Members have been given Only Thirty (30) Days .... the bare minimum required by law, to read, absorb, completely understand the contents and then vote to accept or reject them.

The directors of the United Board have stated that the language in these proposed changes is extremely comprehensive. Our question is this, "What is the hurry?" These changes have taken the United Board over two years with the help of United's legal counsel to complete and they are demanding that we read, comprehend and vote on them in thirty (30) days.

United President Beldner stated, at the United July monthly board meeting, that the law requires a thirty day maximum timeframe for residents to vote on the proposed changes. United's legal counsel then corrected Beldner's mis-information and stated the actual minimumtimeframe is thirty days and we could have a longer period of time in which to read and digest the impact on all of us before we vote. The United directors voted to deny us a longer period of time! The only United director that voted against the thirty day timeframe was Director Jack Bassler. He wanted to give us more time!

We are asking you to oppose and vote no on these proposed changes.

Thank you,

Pam and Connie Grundke,
