Open Auditions at Saddleback College: Spring Awakening, Almost, Maine and A Christmas Carol

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA – Open auditions for Saddleback College’s Fall 2012 Theatre Arts productions of Spring Awakening, Almost, Maine and A Christmas Carol will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 28th and 29^th, theatre dance auditions are Thursday, August 30^th and callbacks are Friday, August 31^st. 

All auditions are at 6 pm in the McKinney Theatre, Saddleback College, 28000 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo.  For Spring Awakening and A Christmas Carol bring sheet music in correct key (16-32 bars). Accompanist provided; no tapes or CD’s.  For both musicals and non-musicals, a one-minute monologue is required for each audition. Scripts will be available at the Performing Arts office in FA 304.  Call 949-582-4413 for further information.

Saddleback College Theatre Arts program produces several fully-staged shows in which students are encouraged to participate.  Theatre Arts students are given the opportunity to audition for every production and Theatre Arts students are given priority in the casting process.  In addition there are numerous opportunities for students to contribute in backstage activities of all college productions.
