The Knowledge@Wharton Award allows a business journalist to attend the influential Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists this fall at the University of Pennsylvania ( http://www.wharton.upenn.edu/journalists/). More than 2,000 journalists have attended the seminars over the last three decades.The fellowship covers the $1,995 tuition fee for the program, which runs October 14-17, 2007, at the Wharton campus in Philadelphia. (The award does not cover travel or housing costs, but includes course materials and most meals.)The award is provided by the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and Knowledge@Wharton, a research and analysis Web site. The administrative process is coordinated by the South Asian Journalists Association.WHO CAN APPLYAny member of AAJA, NABJ, NAHJ, NAJA or SAJA who is a reporter, editor or producer (including freelancers) currently living in the United States or Canada and working in business journalism or a field that overlaps, such as health care or technology. Applicants must be available to attend the Wharton program this year. Individuals with two-seven years of experience as a business reporter or those new to business reporting, but with five-10 years of experience as a reporter in another field, are encouraged to apply.
