Department of education to release test scores
Posted by CotoBlogzz
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA - The California Department of Education announced that it is to release its annual standardized test scores for school districts today, a couple of weeks late, due to security breaches, including some students posting questions online.
California Department of Education spokesman Paul Hefner said the state aims for students between second and 11th, to be at least proficient in English and Math, and measure whether school districts meet state education standards.
Hefner said, "They are our best benchmark that everyone or almost everyone in the school system up and down California participates in," Hefner said. "They’re our way to gauge what students know and can do over time."
