Saddleback Piano Students Performance with A Master Piano Class




Rancho Santa Margarita , CA – Reflections of the Ocean Classical Keyboard Series at Saddleback College, Department of Music, announces  a rare appearance in southern California by Dr. Irene Peery-Fox in at Saddleback College presenting a piano master class on Saturday, October 27th from 3-5 pm in Fine Arts 101. Saddleback piano students will also perform.



Dr. Irene Peery-Fox serves on the Brigham Young University piano faculty. Her students have been frequent prize winners in international, national, state, and local competitions. An accomplished concert pianist, she received her doctoral degree from the Peabody conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University, where she studied with Leon Fleisher. Before her doctoral work, she earned bachelor of music and master of science degrees from Juilliard, studying with Irwin Freudlich, Jeaneanne Dowis, and Ilona Kabos. She has also earned an ARCT degree from the Royal conservatory in Toronto and a performing arts degree from the University of Alberta, Edmonton.

Her many concerto appearances include performances with orchestras in Montreal, Toronto, Salt Lake City, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Victoria, Calgary, Provo, and Lethbridge. She has performed solo recitals in Canada, the United States (including Carnegie), and Europe, and chamber recitals at Carnegie Hall and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. She has also performed on radio and television on the NBC, CBC, and BBC networks. She is listed in the Canadian Dictionary of Music and Musicians and in the Outstanding Young Women of America.

Tickets are $10 general; $7 seniors; $5 students; 17 and under FREE with paying adult; teachers with MTAC/CAPT contact the box office to receive complimentary tickets for your students or guest.

Saddleback College is located at 28000 Marguerite Parkway in Mission Viejo, just east of Interstate 5 at the Avery Parkway exit.  Free parking is available in Lot 12.  Take Avery Parkway to Marguerite Parkway turn left to the third traffic light, which is Saddleback’s Marguerite entrance. Turn right into the campus and take the second left to Theatre Circle, turning right into Lot 12.
