Mission Viejo Gas Station Robbery Suspect Sought

Rancho Santa Margarita, California – On Thursday, October 25, at approximately 11:10 p.m., a male suspect entered the Shell gas station at Lake Forest Drive and Avenida de la Carlota in Laguna Hills with a handgun.

The suspect demanded cash from the clerk. After receiving the cash, he exited the store and was seen running toward neighboring businesses. No vehicle was seen.

Approximately twenty minutes later, this same suspect entered the Chevron gas station at Crown Valley and the 5 freeway in Mission Viejo. The suspect was dressed in the same clothing, all black with a black ski mask, holding a black semi-automatic handgun. He demanded cash. After receiving the cash he exited the front door and fled toward the back of the building.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
