Laguna Woods Village ACC/FOV Workshop about the future of the community

LETTERS

Dear Friends and Neighbors:

You are cordially invited to attend a Workshop which have profound implications to our future: ACC / FOV Joint Workshop Monday,  May 16 at 4 PM in Club House 3, Dining Room 2.

We, as a community, have embarked on a new journey to take control of our own future in replacing the management agency ( PCM/ Associa ) with our own company (VMSI - Village Management Services Inc.) since the beginning of the year.

At near the half year mark, with Mutual elections just around the corner, we have invited Brad Hudson, the CEO of VMSI to talk about his vision for the Community, the direction of VMSI, and its relationship with the various Boards.  Burt Baum from Third Board will speak on the experience of being a board member and what qualities a good board member must have.  Joan Milliman from GRF Board will speak on the form of governance here in the Village.  Thomas Sirkel from United Board will talk about his experience serving on the Board.

We will also discuss the importance of Community support for the Boards and the respective committees, and explore areas where the residents can contribute.
How to make continuous improvement in building robust processes and systems to ensure effective governance and operations?

There will be ample time to allow for questions and answers.  So, please come and join us to a very informative meeting to ensure a bright future for all of us!

Respectfully Yours,

Ed Tao
